Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  Recording said they were confirming my Washington Gas appointment.  I don't use gas and I do not give my cell phone out to contact me at my residence.  Said to press 1 if I wanted to continue in English.  I hung up.  They called again and there was no message.

Don't call this number back. It's a Washington Gas Scam!
They try to get personal info from you. You are not having a gas emergency. I called Washington Gas and they told me they were aware of it and the chick in India wouldn't do anything.

Received a call but we do not use gas in our home.

Called me three times in a row with no message left. Must be a scam.

Caller claimed to represent Washington Gas.  Wanted me to cAll them back before 9 PM, Mon thru Friday.

It is a real customers service line and they call when you are past due or need to arrange payment plans.

I get daily calls from this number, which I do not answer. The caller ID says "WA GAS LIGHT" There is never a message. I do not use Washington Gas/Light--is someone spoofing their number?

Any number can be spoofed. But if you have any doubt about whether the gas company is really trying to reach you, just call back on that number. Because it IS the real number for Washington Gas. It's listed all over the web as their number.  In my case it was a missed payment.

Left a message saying they were from Washington Gas and i needed to call them back immediately. This is a scam.

After a couple years of hiatus, these scammed are once again active.  Call came in early this afternoon.
