caller said i won a vacation told me that it was not a timeshare and that it was a free trip.

i listened to his whole spill and he said that i would get a call from his supervisor...

i did not recall filling out anything but just listened

Said that they were calling on behalf of Marriott.  Told them I had no business relationship with Marriott and that this was a business phone.  Apologized and hung up.  Very hard to understand (low volume and noisy background).

Got the same call this morning as some of the reports above.  Gentleman claiming to be with American Airlines saying I had won a contest based upon a card I have no memory of filling out.  Hung up on him.

received a call at 8:30a from this number, said his name was mark and that I won a contest courtesy of American airlines (who I don't fly) and I entered during the holidays... he kept telling me to get a pen and paper and I kept asking him to repeat and spell where he was calling from, but he kept reassuring me I didn't have to pay for anything.

Lovely lady with an Indian accent says she is calling from Marriott and that I won a travel package. Says I filled out an entry form a few months ago (unlikely) and my entry was chosen. Said this is not a sales call. Suspiciously, she had only an "entry number" and my phone, not my name or any other information. I hung up. I only picked up because the call seemed to come from "Woodbridge VA" which is local.

Called my cell way too early this morning. For some reason my call blocker did not stop the phone from ringing so it woke me up. No message left and number now blocked.

This is a robo-called number on a tie-line, offering a daily menu of different scams, including free trips. The call center is in India. Blocked, but expect them to use a different spoofed number tomorrow.

Free-Vacation Scam.  They claim you won a drawing.  You will never get a free vacation from these scam artists. But you will get a high pressure sales pitch for virtually worthless time shares. If don't buy, there will be something wrong with your prize number so you can't get it free.  But then, they will be happy to sell you a vacation.

Racist Trump supporter looking for elderly victims to steal from.

Fake Call

I just got a call from the same number telling me the exact same american airlines [***]

Yep ... same thing. Thick Indian accent. He got mad at me when I pointing out the inherent flaws in his logic. I am guessing telemarketer or scammer.

Indian scammer stating he is from American Airlines claiming I filled out a ballot to win a free vacation.  I assured him I did not fill out anything and he insisted that someone else may have filled out on my behalf and that I was selected.  I hung up on him and he didn't call back.

missed the call, no message left.

Caller ID was Woodbridge, VA (25-miles from Arlington, VA) so I answered thinking it was someone I knew. Very heavy Indian accent, claiming I won a free hotel stay in a city of my choice. All the needed was my Credit Card info to reserve the hotel. Scam, hung up.
