Also in New York; received a call from 703 893 7322 @ 4pm, stating they were HSBC and my mastercard was locked.

I got a phone call from (703) 893-7322 saying that my HSBC Mastercard was locked. I don't have an HSBC Mastercard.

Got a call from 703-893-7322 and VM said "this is an official notification from HSBC that your credit card has been locked for security reasons. To unlock please press 1". This number when dialed is "Retirement Planners and Administrators" and that their office is currently closed. I have not used HSBC for over a year now and all my cards are inactive and expired. This is obviously a scam.

I got a call at 4am from this number!  How annoying this should be illegal and the authorities should do something about it!  I too called my cc companies directly from the number on the back of the cards and all was fine!

I got a call from this number 3:48 in the MORNING, of course I didn't pick up.
Then I received a message which said my credit card has been blocked and I need to call back to talk with them to unlock my card. SCAM!!!

I got a call at 2 AM - woke me from sleep and I got a recording stating that my HSBC mastercard had been "locked" and to please press "1" for assistance.  I did not do that obviously as I have no mastercard and do not bank or have ever banked with HSBC.  Reading the above posts - this seems to be escalating and a concerted attempt by someone.  It is infuriating to know that a credit debt collections agency can do this and is linked to this kind of fraud without being prosecuted and shut down...!!!

Had a call from this number saying my card was locked (they knew the name of my bank) and that I should press 1 to unlock my card.  I called the number back and it says its a retirement planning company.
Now going to report them to my bank. Definite scam.

I would like to say that my work number is 703-893-7322 and neither my company nor I are calling you. Someone is spoofing our phone number via caller ID and trying to scam people. This is actually quite easy to do. Please do not give out your personal bank information. Please feel free to disregard all calls from this phone number. The scammer seems to be calling sequential phone numbers in certain area codes so they do not "have" your cell phone number. We do not use automated calls. We are only open 9 am - 5 pm. No need to leave me cursing and rude voicemails. No need to threaten to sue me either. Thanks.
