Say they have issues with my Taxes.

the said calling from tax cra revenue . have audit issue for tax

They left message said calling from tax revenue and that I have audit issue for tax 2008 - 2012 with 4000 which have to be payed

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Got a call from this # saying they have received legal petition on our name; Called the # and got some nonsense message asking me to leave a message.  I am reporting this to CRA

So, is this call a prank call? I received a same message such as the one which is mentioned above, with a different amount of money:
“This is a message from Canada Tax Revenue and you have a fraud issue for tax. Please call to this phone number before Prime Court starts to evaluate your case."
I dialed this phone number, for three times, and an answering machine was announcing:" Currently all of our agents are busy or you are called after the business hours please leave your phone number and somebody will call you back."
I left my home phone number, and 45 minutes later, the same voice dialed my phone and started to say: "Do you accept your fraud? So, I am going to collect your personal information for RCA and your voice will be recorded for confidential purposes. Anything that you say will be used against you in the Court, O.K?"
I said: " No. However, I prefer to come in person and have an appointment with an agent of RCA, also I would like to receive paper documents from RCA to follow up the case."
The voice asked me my home address, but I did not share my address and emphasized that I would like to follow up the case in person. Suddenly, the voice said to me: "No problem, thank you and have a good day." and disconnected.
What is going on, now? Any way I am going to report this to RCMP and CRA tomorrow.
The World is going to be creepy. Such a stressful day

Same thing here, got this message. Left a nasty vm back, see what happens. They won't be getting thing one from me over the phone.

likewise here this number called me asking that i have petition against my name for miscalculating my income tax so therefore i have to pay for $ 900 . i have already doubt on the first time that this was fraud.

They called today at 5:10 pm -- I was quick enough to find out who they were before I answered.  Told him:  Nice Try Don't Call Here Again.  Then I called blocked 'em.  I'll let Karma do the rest.

this number called me regarding a Craigs List ad. Didint recognize number so I didnt answer it. Knew their offer was too good to be true. Didnt reply. Put it in my phone's Number Blocked List.
