- BeckyNever attended YGA nor do I have any connection with someone who has. Unwanted call.
- Concerned UGA ParentIn today’s environment with college campuses under alert surely a sotto funding rising organization from aka “UGA Parent Outreach” could have set up secure qualifying processes greater than, “I attend UGA, but don’t feel comfortable giving you my last name, however we would like you to make a generous donation”. NOT ~ BLOCKED CALLER

- JJJust called twice today after 7pm. I get calls from this number at least once a month and I'm tired of it. Also found out my blocker app doesn't work, anymore, but that's something I can take care of, on my own.
- AllySI am a uga alum and they call every now and then. Their jobs are hard, the call center is very strict and will not let them hang up until they've asked for money at least 3 times. Treat them nicely bc it is a hard job!
- Caller: Uga
- bariGot a call and the telemarketer actually had the nerve to ask me to donate $200 today. I went to UGA and if I wanted to donate I would sure not do it over the phone. I consider this phishing. They claimed to be soliciting for UGA School of Public Health. They were as other have stated very nice but really?
- Caller: UGA Public Health?

- JJ| 1 replyThey need to stop calling me. I'm very sick. I don't need 2 or 3 times every day. I can't make them stop. I want to call the law but I'm too weak and don't know where to start. No money for an attorney. I never went to their school, I'm barely financially stable, even living with help. Why would they do this? I give no sympathy to someone who doesn't take the hint after 100 bloody times. If anyone knows of a sure way to keep them from calling me, it would be appreciated. My call blockers don't actually stop them. I want to actually stop them. I want to try the legal way, first. Then, I'll do it my way.

- Heinz57 replies to JJYou need to contact someone at the United Way Call for help-they help with many different situations. Here in my city they use the phone number 211. You might try that first.
- Jaynecalls but will not leave message.
- JohnI just got a call from this number but didn't answer.
I'm not sure this is a legit UGA call center for 2 reasons:
1) The way many of you describe it sounds like a Mickey Mouse operation
2) I have no direct connection to UGA. My cousin graduated from there about 12-13 years ago but that's about it.
I say watch out unless you can call the university back at one of their main lines and confirm this number directly.- Caller: Uknown
- LTLeft VM. Silence for 5-6 seconds then an unintelligible grunting sound from a male before disconnection. Never went to UGA & kids aren't in college yet.

- Ericka BrownReceived a call from 7067157002 they asked for a person by the different first name and same last name as mines never got a call from this number so I played as if I was the person & the asked for an email I didn't agree to give them one so they hung up any advice just wondering who are these people
- JoeI worked at this fundraising call center (was named RuffaloCODY then, has since changed) years ago as a student. It is legit, but the callers are usually bad at their jobs (I sure was) because it's part time work and asking for large amounts of money from total stragners is awkward as heck. You work as a fundraiser for the various colleges of UGA by placing cold calls to potential donors. Your caller pool includes parents, current students, alumni, people related to alumni, businesses that might have worked with UGA, etc.
If you're worried about giving credit card information over the phone to a stranger (and lets face it, that's sketchy) they used to offer to mail out a donation card, but you can also just give through the UGA general fund website.
Finally, if you want them to stop calling you for at least a year, you have to ask them to remove you from the caller list, and be explicit, or they simply put your number on hold for a few months. They are a registered non-profit, and so are allowed to bypass the national "Do Not Call" registries.

- SethJust wanted to double check with you guys and make sure that this is legitimate. Has anybody donated to this yet? I'm just curious, because I asked for a call back number and she wouldn't give it to me and she also wanted to get right to the bottom line as far as taking a credit card payment. I wasn't comfortable handing that over so stalled so I can research into this.
