The company has called me twice a day for atleast a month. I have asked them over and over again to take my number off their call list but they still call. Most of the time they hang up on me as I ask them to stop calling. Very rude and unprofessional.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.

A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers.  Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.

The following seven entities appear to be associated with each other:

    1) A1 Solar Power, Inc. (Van Nuys, California) – www.a1solarpower.net/

(California) Contractors State License Board – Contractor’s License Details:
    https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/Check ... x?LicNum=493623

    2) Top Design, Inc. (Van Nuys, California) – http://www.topdesignremodeling.com/

(California) Contractors State License Board – Contractor’s License Details:
    https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/Check ... x?LicNum=966819

The names of several of the telemarketing fronts shilling for A1 Solar Power’s follow:

    3) Go Green (aka Go Green Education)

    4) California Green Energy Center (aka California Energy Center) (run out of Top Design's office in Van Nuys) – http://californiagreenenergycenter.com/

    5) National Renewable Energy Center – http://nationalrenewableenergycenter.com/

    6) California Energy Initiative

    7) California Solar Initiative

NOTE: The offices of A1 Solar Power and Top Design are located just 2.6 miles away from each other in Van Nuys, California.

Same name - different number.  National Renewal Energy.  The phone number on the caller ID is fake - I tried calling back and was told it was out of service.  This morning, all our cell phones rang at the same time, meaning they are using calling banks to dial multiple numbers at the same time, then after the first person answers, everyone else is hung up on.  We have had no one there multiple times when we answer slowly.

They had my address, but didn't know my monthly bills (thought it was bi-monthly), how often I was billed, or my energy company, which would be obvious with some basic research.  The phone number is local to my neighborhood (my neighbors have a similar prefix), but I doubt they are local.  They have called a few times a day in the last few days.  I was firm yesterday and said I wanted my number off the list because I was not interested.  I was told they could not take my number off until I answered the questions.  After multiple requests on that call to remove my number, I finally had to hang up.  So now I'm making up the answers to show they can't help me.

I put my numbers on do not call lists. I asked nicely to be put on internal so not call. I blocked their Cloverdale Ca number on all my phones and now they are calling with a new number. I call the number back and it says the number has been disconnected. So they are spoofing local numbers. Not sure what else to do. The law doesn't matter.

I have been relentlessly telemarketed by these poorly trained idiots. They attempt to harass me, and have tried to coerce the contact information of my family members to harass them instead.

Do a general google search for "California Green Energy Center" and you will find hundreds of others being harassed like this. Several people have been called "stupid", "idiot", employees have gloated about their fat paychecks, and there was even one reported call where an employee threatened to f**k the customer's wife.

Every time I received a call, I'd ask to be removed from their call list and that has clearly not been acknowledged. Constant hangups, the calls are not returnable, and despite their best efforts to hide behind really bad websites, I've found all this information about them.

ASKING THE TELEMARKETERS TO TAKE YOU OFF THE LIST WILL NOT HELP, but you can complain to "California Green Energy Center" directly and they will do so from the management level.

These people are knowingly telemarketing and caller ID spoofing. They are aware that their profits from doing so outweigh the fines they can expect from anyone that goes through the trouble of suing them and reporting them. There are many reviews and complaints out there from people whose elderly inlaws have been scammed into buying thousands of dollars of malfunctioning solar equipment. F*** these people. If you have the resources to, then take them to court. You will win. Give them hell!

Call center seems to be 15025 Oxnard St, Suite 200, Van Nuys CA 91411

Their parent company is Top Design Inc.

Top Design Inc Phone: 818-497-2919 or 818-514-6243

When I called Top Design, they denied any connection to Solar Power until I claimed that I was already working with someone from the Green Energy Center. There's also a youtube video out there called "At work California green energy center 2014" and its description says "Top design, California green energy center".

Others have claimed the party responsible is Go Green Energy Center in North Hollywood. I doubt this, but their numbers are 818-358-2851 or 877-593-2995.

There are confirmed connections to A1 Solar Power Inc, Go Green Education, National Renewable Energy Center, California Energy Initiative, and California Solar Initiative.

National Renewal Energy Center appears to be a front/associated/daughter/slave company of A1 Solar.  No one here speaks or understands English.  It is clearly a telmarketing company in Indonesia or India  or perhaps San Ysidro, California.  You need to know that A1 has an "F" BBB rating.  They have been driving me nuts until I adopted the following strategy:  First drive THEM nuts by putting their toll-free number - check out the Yelp ratings and do your homework.  Next put this number on your autodialer 877 593 2995 and call them until their system chokes!!!  This takes maybe 30 calls or so but it is their TOLL FREE number which THEY PAY FOR.  Be sure to scrub your own caller ID from your phone.  Next, when they call next, go ahead and schedule an appointment for them to inspect and evaluate your property.  When they arrive, you may simply have changed your mind and are no longer interested in their proposal.  Or better yet, tell them you've already committed to a BBB "A" rated firm.

Fight harassing fire with harassing fire.

Pretended to be interested in the damn solar panels to try get information out of these pathetic sons of [***] talked to two women for about 1 hour on and off. They were not able to tell me who I could talk to to resolve the phone calls. One of the ladies told me it was not in her "jurisdiction" to tell me... I asked her, "what are you a rent a cop?" and she got offended and hung up on me.

I called A1 solar directly at their office to try to resolve the issues we have been having with consistent calls from their telemarketers. This company and all companies linked to it need to go. My family is fed of with receiving calls at untimely hours from these [***].

They are still calling, I am in the SF Bay Area and it won't stop....

New idea.  Every time you get a new phone call from the telemarkets, visit their social media pages to complain directly to them and also contact their direct lines to complain until they stop using these shady marketing practices

Just a point in clarification.  There are two large - but separate - scam networks who are mining the solar energy space: National Renewable Energy and The Sustainable Energy Institute. As is common for this particular form of vermin, each network uses several different sub-organizations and frequently change their names. Surprisingly,  what does not change is the script these barely literate scum-bags try to read to you when they make their harassing calls.

Doesn't matter if you are on the DNC Registry.  Criminals will be criminals and will not adhere to that registry, they probably don't even know about it and do not care.  Only legitimate businesses comply with the law.  Scammers and frauders will not.  Most of the numbers they use are either made up or belong to legitimate telephone users.  Some of them even use the number they are calling as their Caller ID.  Untraceable.
