One of 4 or 5 telephone numbers used by collection agency, Rash, Curtis & Associates.  You get no response when answering the call; however, if you don't answer the call immediately, they dial again...and again.  Following the 3rd successive call, a live person leaves a message on your answering machine identifying themselves as agents of Rach, Curtis & Associates.

Nothing like being harassed for emergency room bills that one cannot pay because one is too injured to work. Hooray for no national health plan!

I recieved a call last week from this number and they were very professional.

got a call i returned they put me on hold for 10 minutes with please hold please hold please hold  sorry hung up i have no idea why the call but they better not call again i will file harassment suit

I got one today too & I am not even the one they are collecting from.  The manager is Chris Johnson and you can get to him by calling into 707-454-2010 and asking to be transferred to him.

Just got a call from this collection agency for medical bills due to an emergency surgery. Threatened to "take my ass to court"

They called and demanded to talk to a family member, when i told them it is almost 9pm and they can call at a decent hour, they said "actually its 8:49pm let me talkt to...."  oh man that ticked me off.  They are extremely rude and disrespectful and call way too many times.

have a medical bill outstanding from a time that I was admitted into an emergency room while not
having health insurance (at a job where I hadn't qualified for coverage just yet). Apparently the bill went to collections, and they had been calling my parents house (probably because my number from that time is no longer valid, and I had listed my parents as Emergency Contacts when checking into the hospital. My father (who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's), unfortunately gave them my work number.

This person is now calling me at my office and harassing me as currently I cannot pay the entire balance of over. I gave her an alternate number as I was at work and couldn't speak about it. She didn't care and insisted that we continue speaking.

She then demanded to be transferred to HR, or to my supervisor to do an employment verification, and also verify my income earnings. I told her that I refused to do so as this is not a work related, and that she shouldn't be calling me here anyways.

She said that she would be doing research to find the contact info for Semper's HR person.

I've heard it's illegal to harrass someone at their place of work. Can anyone confirm this?

She was extremely unprofessional, I unfortunately didn't get her name.

Look people thes services were rendered in good faith with the understanding you'd pay for those services. What if they turned you away in your time of need? Oh yeah, and I DO work for them. We r very professional and therefore because people "forget" they owe these bills it is our duty to collect. It's what we do. I am very compassionate as with many of us employed there, but it is our job to seperate the

willing from the unwilling. We've heard every excuse in the book from people as to why they can't pay. Our company consists of well-qualified and highly-experienced individuals who want to help people through these unfortunate times. Seriously these people are driving me insane!! They have been calling me since last August and leaving an automated message on our answering machine. I assumed that is was a telemarketer and never called the number back. That was a huge mistake... I just checked my credit report and there is a thing on there from Rash Curtis for a $200 medical bill that the company never billed my insurance company for!

Per the FDCPA, it is illegal for a collection agency to call you at work if they have been made aware that your employer does not allow such calls:

§ 805.  Communication in connection with debt collection   [15 USC 1692c]

(a) COMMUNICATION WITH THE CONSUMER GENERALLY.  Without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, a debt collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt --

--at the consumer's place of employment if the debt collector knows or has reason to know that the consumer's employer prohibits the consumer from receiving such communication.

Why dont you guys go get a real job instead of harrassing people over the phone? Mabey try selling some pot instead? Thats a more legitamate business here in california. I have told you guys several times not to call me. I have absolutly no intent of paying you guys a single sliver of the money I don't owe you. So stop your harrassment before civil action is taken.

I have insurance and don't owe them either,yet I continue to get calls. whenever I answer there's never anyone there.
the back to back calls occured while I was in a business meeting. mind you, the company I work for has very strict standards. their incessant erroneous calls could possibly cause disaplinary actions against me.

Yes, this company has people working for them that think they can speak any way they want to you. They are VERY rude and even immature, pushing a number key to blare a loud tone in my ear and then hanging up. They use tactics such as getting angry and telling you that YOU are angry. It's ridiculous. All over a bill we don't even owe. It was covered at the time in questioned. I have a print out, the medical insurance company has a print out and wants me to get a fax number from Rash so they can fax it to them. But when you explain this and ask for the number they say they can't and hang up on you. We finally got a person on the phone that talked with us and gave us a number but still, I feel as if they were just trying to get us not to report them. I'm still going to however. Especially after seeing Web pages like these that show many other people getting treated the same way.
