I found the source of the calls it is  MEDICAL SYSTEMS INC>  of Central Florida near Tigertown.  33803 at (863) 683-1170.   They were recently signed on to Virtual PBX Inc. carrier out of San Jose California at 95113  1-888-825-0800 (calling this number and reporting the dialer call to customer support will assist in shutting them down sooner and with evidence.)  They route the call through VIrtual PBX in San Jose California and back to level 3 communications in Denver, Colorado and through finally through Pac-west communications in Healdsburg california and on to your home.   PBX is working on shutting them down and prosecuting the owner of this line to the fullest extent of the law will allow in Florida....the days are numbered likely so hang in there !!!!

707-723-4478 called twice today - first time with the 'V' string of garbage in the Caller ID, second time the same number without it.  Picked up this morning without looking and it was quiet at first, so hung up before they had time to start talking.

Very annoying as I'm currently out of work and when the phone rings I think that it may be someone calling to offer an interview, and of course it's yet another scam marketer.

Got the day off, try to relax and keep getting spam , scam calls.

Called a few times already - never listened to the full message - blocked it on my Phone.  But now I'm kind of curious as to what it is they are trying to sell.  Love stringing telemarketers along the then at the end of their spiel, after I sound so interested.......I go   F ....O..  "CLICK"

I got the same thing as you describe - was wondering what that was all about.  Ludicrous.  Ignorant, arrogant and unconscionable.  Not worth dealing with.  Yes I ignore the phone calls but it is difficult to when it comes at 3:00 a.m.  I google the number to confirm what I suspect all along.

If you are you a senior citizen e have an important message for you (life line support).  I have picked up twice and paid attention to display and now immediately hang up if I accidentally answer.  Call just about every day.

Got a call from this number around 9 a.m.  Have caller ID, so didn't pick up.  No message left on my voicemail.

Call several times a day I have caller ID so I don't pick up. I am usually working utside and have to rubn in to see who it is. As soon as I see Haroldsburg  Ca. I know it's them again . They talk about elderly people, have not listened to the whole message. Hope you can stop them.

numerous calls from this number in the past week--very irritating!

The caller used a different number in last 30 days. They used 707-723-4478 to call us on 03/25 to 0330 to send us recorded messages for " senior citizen again;  Today ( 04/302013) , I  came home & returned the call. I received the same message they sent to us. I can't talk to any one. After  after I listened the message, it allowed me to click 5 to remove our phone number.

Called again today.. I'm getting sick of this!!

The guy said that it sometimes doesn't work with 800 numbers, "as they seem to have found a way to get around it" but you can still add them and see if it works.  

(Most of the calls I get aren't from 800 numbers anyway.)

Also:

*77 will start blocking all numbers that withhold their Caller ID
*87 turns this feature off

medical alert systems advertisement. This company calls me 2-3 times a day for the last few weeks.  I've tried pressing 5 to stop future calls, this hasn't worked.  I am being harrassed in my own home.

pressed "1" to speak to a rep, but no one answered. wanted to tell them about "gov do not call"

Stared getting all these annoying numbers and emails after signing up for Joanns Fabrics!

THIS IS NOT OUR COMPANY (MEDICAL SYSTEMS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA) MAKING THESE CALLS TO PEOPLE.  WE ARE A DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY AND WE DO NOT MAKE ANY SALES CALLS TO PEOPLE.  WE WERE MADE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM YESTERDAY 04/02/2013, BY INDIVIDUALS THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE CALLING.  WE ARE A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS AND WE DO NOT HARRASS PEOPLE BY MAKING COLD CALLS.  SOMEONE HAS GOTTEN ACCESS TO OUR PHONE NUMBER AND USING IT TO THEIR ADVANTAGE WHILE MAKING A BAD NAME FOR US.  I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVIENCE THIS IS CAUSING ANYONE.  PLEASE REPORT THIS TO THE FCC AND WE ARE WORKING ON OUR END TO TRY TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND FIND OUT WHO IS BEHIND IT.  AGAIN, WE NEVER DO SALES CALLS.  ALL OUR BUSINESS COMES FROM WALK-INS, DOCTORS OFFICES, HOSPITALS AND NURSING HOMES.

I receive 3 calls a days from this number plus they called 3 times within an an hour and a half on Good Friday morning. Whenever I answer phone calls from this number, no one speaks and no automated message kicks in.  It's making me furious.  The third time they called on Good Friday, I picked up the phone and said nothing.  I could hear a lot of computer sounds in the background, so I just listened for about 30 seconds and still no message or person. Finally, I said into the phone in a very firm voice: "You do realize this is a f***ing holiday, right?" The instant I finished talking, they hung up on me.  These people, whoever they are, are by far the worst that I have had to deal with and I absolutely intend to do what I can to have them charged with harassment.

This number keeps calling me...I never answer and they do not leave any message.
