ID said S. Martinez. I answered. Some woman asked for me by name. Claimed she was with National Renewable Energy. I gave her an Anglo Saxon response and hung up.

Surprise, the number is no longer in service or disconnected.

Multiple calls, some after 7.30pm. No messages

Shown as "Unknown" on caller ID. Stayed on the line to leave a message, but the message was a few seconds of silence.  

I've been getting calls for about a month from this number.  Sometimes twice a day!  Never a message and when I return call, it says disconnected.  Very aggravating!

I had to block their fake number !!! Why would I talk to a fake person selling solar!!!!!!!!!

Do not want these calls, I'm on the "DO NOT CALL" list!

This post has two parts.  The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list.  The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.

1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

This is another SPAM caller that needs to be arrested.  707-894-3607

Recieved a call on my cell phone. They had my name and old address. I asked what company are they calling from. They said they were connected with PG&E. I told them I work for PG&E and had never heard of them. I then asked how they got my name and cell number. They promptly hung up. What is going on? This is annoying. I don't want my personal cell used for anything but family and friends of my choosing.

I recieved another call from a James. After many questions, this is what I got from the conversation. He explained that there are 3 criteria. (1) Spending over $70.00 an month on utilities, (2) are the home owner and (3) you are not currently on a care program. He said there is a hot spot indentified by the ulility companies. I didn't know the answer, as husband pays the bill, so asked if he could send me some literature and he responded that they don't do that, cause every home and customer would have different needs. They will send out a team to evaluate your home. He gave me a hotline 877 593-2995. There was a lovely young man that answered Natural Renewable Energy Center. He made it sound like they are a referral company, but didn't recognize the Golden State Energy Center name. I told him that they had my personal cell phone number and that has caused me to question their legitimacy. He offered to take my number off their list, but I would have to give him my cell number. Didn't feel good about that. I don't know if they are legit. I don't like that they are calling me on my cell. I don't like that I can't find either names on the internet. I don't like this kind of business tactic. I hope I've been helpful to others. I hope I'm wrong, but there is too much garbage going around that I don't openly trust anymore. Part of the downside of the age of technology and communication.

I would like to meet caller face to face

I have been getting calls from this number a couple times a day for the past week or so. It says cloverdale, ca, but everytime I answer there is no one on the line. When I tried calling back it said the number was disconnected.

I keep getting unsolicited phone calls from this number. Late at night and early in the morning. No one is on the line, usually and when I call back it says it is disconnected.

Stop calling, i'm not answering anymore and i've officially added you to my rejected list. If you can't say Hi after i answer the phone, you're dropped.
