708-419-9115, 1st call from this number, HiYa app says Telemarketer, blocked on Cell and Internet phone.

This is the ComEd Scam.

Could be an identity thief, and/or an opportunity to switch your electricity provider w/o your consent.
This is one of four numbers in a bank that these thieves have used (so far) since October 2017: (708) 419-1168, (708) 419-9114, (708) 419-9115, (708) 419-9118.

If you are willing and able, blocking the 708-419 number range on your call blocker would relieve you of future calls.  But this method is only advised when you don't receive legitimate calls from this area code and local prefix.

Just called my cell phone number.  Did not answer and no message left.

Reported the exact time and date 708-419-9115 set my phone off to the FCC and FTC.

Caller ID said "Illinois Call." Did not leave a message. From the other comments here, I'm assuming this is another of the 1,000 phone scams being perpetrated every day. What a world.

Suspected spam - didn't answer .

I asked, "Who are you?" She claimed she was "from ComEd".  I asked if she was an "employee" of Com Ed. She interrupted. During her...rant, I continually asked if she was an "employee" of Com Ed. She hung up. This is not just a robocall scam, it is prosecutable fraud.

Five telemarketers/scammers called today. This scammer was the last, we expect more.
They're getting out of hand. Uncontrollable. No message left. smh
