- M| 5 repliesI just applied to a job online that hires people to answer emails for them, they gave me that phone number to assist a phone interview with access codes and all. I dont trust those kind of things so i didn't call to know what that was.
- Ameena replies to MI applied for a job from craigslist.. and they wanted a phone interview.. I don't trust them.. So I wrote an email back asking question about the company before I decide to call.. I don't think I'll be making that call

I'm leary of people sending word docs with info. I will pass on this one. just wanted to post my info to help others. - kim replies to Bob| 2 replies''We are in need of people who can simply respond to e-mails from DOZENS of people daily who are interested in our web services''
If they only get DOZENS of emails how many people would they need to employ and why wouldnt they call you???? - Sumptin Suspicious replies to kim| 1 replyHere is how they 'hook' you into working for a biz opp, not a JOB at all.
Take a look at this website: http://dream-team.ws/Samples - Gydweli replies to Sumptin SuspiciousSo this definitely is not on the up-and-up?
- EEJ| 2 repliesWow, I'm glad I Googled this number! I am so leery of companies like this (even though there are a few legit work-from-home companies). My email was from GDI as well. Looks like I won't be calling!!
- steven replies to EEJ| 1 replyI worked for a few legit companies and most of them recruit people by having them call a number where they conduct a conference call to inform people about the company and what is expected of them. This phone number is not the company but a conference call provider they use. One of the more known companies is Workforcelogic by google.
- lvv replies to stevenso is this number safe to call or will you be charged some crazy amount of money for calling it?
Thanks - Cherylann| 2 repliesI received the same type of email after applying for a position on Craigslist...

I am not sure what is up with this organization, but to see they are gathering large groups together for a conference call is not typical for a real job - and I am sure not risking - whatever the motives are.
Other things to consider before calling:
1. No company name in email return address (it is a gmail account)
2. No phone number - but asks to send questions by email.
No company is so big and booming they can hire as many people as they could potentially hire based on their candidate marketing strategies. Something smells and I aint biting. - Cherylann| 4 repliesI just googled GDI (please don't do it, you are only helping them move up in the google search!) and this is what I found after a lenghly website sales pitch:
The opportunity we provide is so affordable ... after the 7 day free trial...the cost is Far LESS than the cost of a pizza!
A Little about the BIG Payplan...
You will receive $1 per month per member in your team (downline). In fact, the matrix can give you an income of $UNLIMITED$ Earnings! per month in residuals.
We have a compensation system that is UNLIMITED WIDTH...and 5 levels deep..
The miracle of our system is that you can build an organization by placing just a few members on your first level to hundreds or more on your first level.......its Unlimited Width!!! This can easily add up to hundreds and thousands of dollars in earnings per month...it is happening right NOW!
It is a true marvel of Downline Building Science! Because you can Move any of your personally sponsored during their free trial period, under another member in your downline!
We welcome you to this business, and urge you to try it. You truly have nothing to lose with the 7 day free trial offer and you stand everything to gain.GDI is doing for their members what online businesses all over the internet should be doing.
Don’t get left behind! This is a brand new offering and the timing couldn’t be better.

So now I have googled the phone number and GDI and see it is a piramid type of scheme...so, don't do it! - Susan replies to Cherylann| 3 repliesI also received a message from these people. It is, indeed, just a conference number and I doubt since they have a forums with all information about the conference system, that it would charge you to call it. However, I will be messaging these people back to ask for more information about the "job" before I do call, just in case. This is the message I received, which is extremely similar to the previous one. If they are having more than one conference call at the same time, it does not seem very business-like at all. I have, however, done business conference calls before for legitimate business.

Sommer Kahanek - Dave replies to Susan| 2 repliesI received a similar email & a voice mail message asking me call the same conference call number & password.
After a little research . . .
Global Domains International Inc also known as GDI has exclusive license agreement to distribute the dot WS domains (.ws is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Samoa) which is their main offer to customers.
GDI apparently has a Multi Level Marketing Strategy to distribute and market these domains. - Diane replies to Cherylann| 1 replyI like most of you was leary but I thought what harm could it do to phone in and see what it was about. This organization is completely legit. They're no scam...the phone # is exactly that a phone number with access code that will get you in to listen and partake in a conference call where you can ask questions and see if your the type of person they're looking for...ultimately its your choice. its an opportunity. It wasn't for me but its legit.
- Amy replies to DianeWhat exacly did they discuss within the phone call? I had to do an interview with this company today but was unable to make it. I just wondered what type of individuals they are interested in
- laurieit's a conference call-in number. I just used it for a webinar I "attended".
- susan replies to Dave| 1 replyIt's NO COST CONFERENCE .com You call in, pay for the call (long distance if necessary) and everyone is conferenced.
I use it to market to people, and for webinars of guests not in my area so that we can all talk together. - Shoe replies to susanI know an AA group that uses that base number to have conference calls for homebound folks who need an AA meeting. The PIN number is completely different than any of the ones on this page here.
While the company someone responded to through an ad in Craigslist might be totally bogus, the phone number itself is just a company that sells easy conference calling. Nothing more, nothing less. Open to both the bogus and the important.
Hope that helps. - DavidCThis is the number used by http://www.nocostconference.com/ for free conference calls.
My company uses this service daily and it is nothing to be "leary" of.
While the companies that many of these posters are seeking employment with may be suspect, this number is legit.
