    When we bought a house, we received a post card "Welcome to the Neighborhood". Call 713-401-5148 to receive $25 Amazon gift card. Pretty sure it's a sales scheme or scam - I'm shredding it.

    Yes, people send things through the mail as advertising.  I'm totally astonished that you didn't know that and had to looks stuff up to find out what to do.

    If you really think the mailings are fraud, take them to you local Post Office (including any envelope they may have come in) and tell the Postal Clerk to forward them to the Postal Inspector for investigation of mail fraud.
