Over the years I have had a good deal of respect for Joel Osteen Ministries in Houston, TX.  Even watched him on TV a few times.  Now it appears he is possibly robocalling!

I just received a call from “Joel Osteen Min” and they did not leave a message.  Typical tactic of someone who has a script to deliver, but only to a live person who answers.  

Has he not made enough money from worldwide donations that he must resort to telemarketing/robocalling, after 7PM at night?  Has his organization grown so large that he has lost control of it and let the notorious call centers run his donations desk?  Does he not support or respect the Do Not Call registry?  Has greed overtaken his sense of community?

My respect for him has taken a fall tonight and I’m very disappointed.

The Lakewood Church, where Olsteen is the senior pastor, brings in $77M per year in revenue.  Each Sunday, approximately 43,500 people attend the five services of the church; the service is broadcast in over 100 countries.  Olsteen himself makes ~$55M per year from book sales.  Olsteen and his wife have a home worth upwards of $10.5M.  His net worth is estimated at more than $40M.  

Does he really need to become a telemarketer/robocaller that hides behind the “charity” loophole?

I am no fan of Joel Osteen (or any other televangelist for that matter) , but my understanding is that this may not be Joel Osteen ministries calling:
