Don't answer calls i don't recognize. Left no message.

Missed call, didn't leave a message. I called the # back from a landline and it stated the # was "out of service"

answered call. no one was on the line. called back and it said # was out of service.

this is a bogus # that is  recording 1st (about giving you a higher credit limit) then you press 9 - wait for a rep. they answer, I requested to have my # removed and the gentleman told me that he was a man that made money & why would he remove my #. he would remove it if I paid him to.

Had the similar situation except he told me to go [***] myself and then hung up.

I get calls from these numbers all the time.
Also got the same treatment when asked to have my number removed. So... Now, after pressing 9 to speak to someone...
I've resort to using an air horn pointed into my phones mic or just screaming as loud as I can in to the mic when I hear their voice. I've only done 3 or 4 times and haven't had any of these call in about a month. Until today when I missed the call.
Try it, I bet you get less calls!

Do you really hate yourself that bad?  I guess you must hate other people as well, since you are giving them advice that will damage their hearing.  The only person who gets hurt while using an air horn like that is you.  It damages your hearing and does nothing at all to the person on the other end since telephone lines will not transmit that sound loud enough to do anything but maybe cause a minor annoyance.  Same with screaming.  You should grow up and simply get a call blocker.

They only think they don't get these calls, because they can no longer hear the phone ring.

It can create a syndrome called hyprracusis.
