Called about a free security system if you put a sign in your yard. Telemarketing scam!

Why these jerks can not check the do not call listin gs is a sign of their "laziness" and not inicative of good business sense.  They have wasted the time and leaving a message on answering machines must be costing them mucho dinero in phone bills--shows a lack of business sense--if they are a legitimate business--They need to "learn" a lot!

Oddly, I received this call while I was vacationing in CA and also getting home security screen doors later in Oct. As coincidental as it appeared, I didn't answer and they left no voicemail. If it's important, people will leave a message. I'll ignore this number.

Called; hung up after 4 rings (my machine is set to let it ring more before answering). Blocking #.
"Local"? Yeah, right, unless you consider "local" to be clear across the country!

Hammer, do you actually THINK that being on the DNC screens out illegitimate calls? You've GOT to be kidding yourself! Plus, you say you're a DNC lister, so a call from this number couldn't be legitimate? Uh, isn't that exactly the point of the DNC list? Therefore, if a call did come to you, it IS either legitimate or the caller isn't following the DNC. See?

Number displayed w/caller location as Anaheim, CA. No CID. Will block.

Call came in on personal cell listing caller ID as Yorba Linda, CA.  I didn't know this was a real place, let alone know anyone from that area, so I didn't answer and caller left no message.

What do you use to block entire area codes?  I can block 250 numbers on my Panasonic phone, but not entire area codes.

Look for the call blocker with the red stop sign button. Can't say the brand because of forum rules. Blocks area codes, prefixes, and doesn't even allow the phone to ring if placed FIRST on the line before the phones. Also blocks 1000's of numbers instead of 250. Happy blocking!

Your Belinda  I don't have a Belinda.  I live in Ohio but I'm from So Cal are so recognized it as an Orange County Area Code.  Yorba Linda would be in that area code.  Anyway sent to vm, no msg left, looked here, blocked.

Did not answer, no voice mail left.

Oh great, another telemarketer offering a home security system.  This happens at least a dozen times a year, and they always manage to go by another name and spoofed phone number.

The caller ID stated "Local Marketing", but I was able to catch the number and block it in time.

For a while, I added those scammy numbers to a scam folder, then I discovered that my iPhone will block numbers.  I have to add them to the blocked list, but never get a call from that number again. Apple says that there is not a limit to that blocked list.   Doesn't stop them from using a new number...I just block it!

I got a phone call from them. It was a automated. I hung up. My husband got one from the same number a couple hours later.

Received call from above, I answered the call and they asked for Robert (husband first name) I told him that is deceased (truth)  he hung up before I could asked who was calling
