Was called at my office to verify my name and title.  I repeatedly asked what I could do for him.  He abruptly hung up, and will not answer a return call.

Also received a call from this number at 10am EDT. Left no message when I did not answer. It came through the caller ID with a 9 prefix (9-714-360-2824).

Received a call from this number at 9:50A CST.  Left no message on voicemail.  It came through with a 9 prefix (9.714.360.2824)

Call from 97143602824 was listed a "Researcher". Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Call from this number. Answered and he asked to speak with me by my full name. Said this was her and he abruptly hung up. Do we know if this is related to any identity scam?

Just received a call from this number with a (9) 7143602824 as referenced above as well - Very hard to understand the man but I think he said something about sending documents and used a portion of our name, when I asked for the 3rd time to have him repeat himself, he hung up.

Someone from this number called yesterday and asked our receptionist for my title.  He called back this morning asking for me and when I answered confirmed my name and title.  He asked for my email address and the number for my direct line.  He proceeded to tell me he wanted to send me information on a conference in LA.  He's called 5 times in 24 hours.  When I asked for information on the conference he hung up.

Please see my comment below!  I believe this is some sort of scam/identity issue as well.  He first called and asked our receptionist for my job title.  When he called back today he was asking for the number for my direct line and my email address to send me information on a conference related direct to my job title.  This seem backwards to me.  If it was truly a conference directly related to my job, shouldn't he have asked for someone in my position rather than what position goes with my name?  And then to try to get me to attend a "conference" in LA?  I think not.

Received a call from 714-360-2824 (Anaheim, CA) but it came through as 97143602824.  The caller had a very heavy accent and he asked to speak with one of our senior vice presidents, by name, so I transferred the call.  He immediately called back and said he got voicemail and wanted the vp's email address so that he could send an invite to an event.  After that, the same number popped up and I did not answer. They tried again, I did not answer.  Then a different number popped up on my screen, 918043224161 (804-322-4161 Richmond, VA) so I answered.  It was the same man calling back!  He said, "I'm sorry to bother you again" and then asked for a different person but the name he gave me wasn't someone who worked in our company. I told him there wasn't anyone in our company by that name and he proceeded to tell me "he's your (such and such) director". I very firmly told him, "No, that person does not work for our company".  He then said, ok, sorry and thank you for your help. How do they call from so many different numbers? How is it legal for them to obtain so many different numbers and use those to make telemarketing calls? It is extremely frustrating to receive multiple scam calls when having to answer hundreds of legit calls every day. Is there a way to stop this?

I have been receiving calls from 97143602824 all week (twice so far today). As soon as I see the number I just pick up the receiver and bang it back down.  I don't have time for this nonsense.  I'm with you on this, I don't understand how they get away with it and if you do find a way to stop it, please let people know.

I also received a call on my work phone from this number also displayed with a 9 in front and it was after hours and he did not leave a message.  The difference is I actually have the name displayed as "Fazal Ellahy" (albeit it may be fictitiuous).

Got a call from this number at 3:26 am CST on my cell, which is both work and personal. Did not answer it of course, but that makes me suspect it is overseas. 971 is the country code for United Arab Emirates and 91 from another message here is country code of India.

Got into my office this morning and saw 87 missed calls all from this number starting at 1:00cst

I did recieved a miss call from this number (+97143602824), When I called back the ringtone indicates it is either India or pakistan. while I googled this number & reached this blog to see your interesting feedback. Through real caller I found out that this number belongs to IPQC http://www.iqpc.com (known for conferences, Events & Training Seminars ...

Received a call from this number on a work line.  ID says it is United Arab Emirates -- obviously did not answer.
