I got a text message from this number a few minutes ago. There was no name attached to the message. Just a call back request. I did a reverse search on www.whitepages.com and it did not have a name and address but it said that the number was a verizon wireless cell phone from Santa Ana, California.

this is the number that is also associated with a wide known collection agency that does scams

This is not a scam.
If you worked with them they would help you.
But it sounds like you are just looking for excuses to not take care of your responsibilites.
Get the facts about someone or a company before you put your ignorant comments on line

They are scammers. Check them out on the internet and also check them out on BBB's website.

They are absolutely scammers.  Do not call back or they will harass you incessantly.  Record phone conversations of you do talk to them and call your state department of commerce.  Most commonly know as worldwide recoveries but go under many aliases.  I have posted on several other sites regarding them under the numbers 866-897-9079 or 866-897-9058 (probably more).  I encourage you to research them fully and do not put yourself in a bad situation with these criminals.

I"ve been called 3 times by this organization, with false claims of debt colletion.  My next step is to go through the bank they claim I owe, and track them down.

They've been attempting to collect a debt which was discharged in a bankruptcy 15 years ago. Please do not call them honest. They are pure rip off artists.

your full of [***]. they called and claimed me and my husband (were are not married) owe money on a joint checking account from 3 years ago. LOL we ahve only been together 11 months and i have a perfect credit score and we both have different banks and both been with them over 10 years. They call more then 5 times a day but we dont answer or even check the messages just delete them. After he threated us the first time it jsut made us laugh. didnt have our lol last name spelled right.

This guy left a voicemail on my husbands work stating that he had accessed our bank account and read our account/loan balances etc to him.  The bank verified the claim and everything is being forwarded to the police. Yes I owe a debt but he broke the law. Good luck "Dan".

GET your facts straight.  Maybe if you company would stop trying to rip people off with false information then you would not have people complaing on thsi webpage.  "DAN" just called my business acting a friend, then accussed us of taking a payday loan out with a bank we never even bank with.  SO LIKE SAID<   MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT>>>

That same person called us and we have also turned over to the police.  We are concern because of the bank they are referring to we have not use in over 10 years, because fraudulant things were going on with the accounts.  SO we are even more concern now and will allow our police department handle it.
