Can they acually take away your property?

They just called me a couple of times. But I know better not to call back the number if they don't even leave you a message just a txt asking you to call them back at this #. First time they called it showed their #, 2nd time they called, it was private(blocked) and left a txt to call back the same #, 3rd time private again but left the same 714#. Do they think I would much rather answer a private call than when I see the # right away? It's more likely a collector. I mean really, if I have something to negotiate about and with, wouldn't I be doing the communicating myself. Sorry but juz not now.

This guy called my house...didn't identify himself as to who he was calling for (debt collection, credit card, etc.). I think this is just a hoax. Someone else has been calling my house leaving a different number and no information....asking for a relative of mine. Whatever!! Not giving these people the time of day until they give a little more info and maybe not even at all if they do tell me who they are.

they are frauds. do not pay them anything and call the FTC to report them. they are onto them.

These people called me lazy, should get off the coach and pay my bills, insisted I had no integrity, and no wonder my ex husband divorced me.  They told me I was a loser.  I explained I questioned the debt.  They wanted to settle over the phone.  I was so abused verbally, and they are not lawyers....and should be held accountable for their illegal actions!
I think they are trying to steal money.  And how did they get my credit file?  Stop these thieves!

The term Shekinah is supposed to mean “Glory of God” These future inmates of the CA Prison System have given it a totally new meaning; THIEVES, LIARS & CONMEN! Never before has a group of thugs burst onto the debt collection scene with the force and sheer brutality used by those at Shekinah, Inc. of Huntington Beach, CA. This group had us wondering if there had been a California prison break as their utterly out of hand, overly aggressive behavior seemed to indicate desperation on a scale we had not yet encountered.

There is a term used by debt collectors called "Gagging." It is the practice of calling up a debtors credit card company or bank and pretending to be that person in order to get location information, such as home and work phone numbers. This is a highly illegal practice in every state. There are some pros at Shekinah who use it to gain such information, then steal money from unwary consumers.

Another reason why you NEVER divulge banking or credit card information to these thieves.

These are DANGEROUS people because they are under incredible pressure, appear to have drug and drinking problems, cannot get hired anywhere else and owner Jim Trent needs money, lots and lots of money, so he not only condones, but teaches his ‘CONSULTANTS’ (that’s how he skirts CA employment laws) on how to make a living as an extortionist.

We have learned that Trent encourages his employees to invest their own money into the portfolios that are purchased by Shekinah. Several went as far as heavily mortgaging their own homes to invest in this venture.

Nothing lingers like the smell of regret.

Shekinah buys as much junk paper as they can, usually with other people's money. They then turn around and resell as much as possible. The paper that hits the collection floor is generally a product or portfolio that they are incapable of selling to another company. This may prove to add more pressure on the collectors, as it is very hard to make a living on this (junk) paper that they are working. In addition, it seems as though desperate times have lead Shekinah to desperate measures. We learned that out of over 40 collectors, only three were able to meet the company’s production goals last month. As the production numbers continue to decline, the aggressiveness of its collection efforts will only increase. This may lead to increased drug and alcohol use, which extends into more extortion on the telephone to unsuspecting consumers.

When the reputation sours and the money stops, or the judgments pile up, dissolve, put on a new name and start over. Coastal Mitigation Associates. Costal Asset Management Group? Worldwide Recoveries.

So here is the final analysis if you ever get involved with these collectors: You may not legally owe the debt. They are likely collecting it illegally with no license or bond. They harass, lie and extort monies by phone. You may be dealing with a desperate con-man/woman with a drug and alcohol problem.

They call three to four times a week. The messages range from: 'this is xxx xxxxx (the last name was Don Terry) to, 'you have only two days to take care of this important matter before we press charges in court.

How do I get them to stop calling. I have paid all outstanding debts!

i w2ork for a retailer i wont name.he called our employee two days in a row on the third day i was given a call to take from someone named Matt Thomas phone # 714-380-5865 he wanted me to give him our employees phone number or address. I told him I could not give out that info on any employees so he told me that he was just preparing me for an ugly situation because police were going to (serve) this employee at work and it was out of his hands. when the director of human relations called him back he said he never called that day and spoke to me or gave me his name,it must have been someone with the summons dept.so I asked for that number and he said they don't accept in coming calls.and they gave me his name and number as a hint as to what it was regarding a civil matter he called it.but it was his number that came up on the caller i.d.but he still says oh i never called today.this guy is a bad liar and a joke.i hope HE winds up in jail im shure he will make someone very happy with that quick tongue of his.
