a fake 3rd party that says that you owe money on a payday loan and tried to get bank info from you on the phone-oh and he/she says that they are a layer office-foreign voices

I cannot believe that someone would actually call me and say that I owe them money. Supposedly they work for a Lawyer's office saying that they have tried cashing my check several times. OK i have used loan companies before but something wasn't right.

1. They couldn't be specific on what they were asking about.
2. Calling me at work is a big no-no.
3. You can tell that they were reading from scripts.
4. Threatening me with lawsuit.....blah, blah.....
5. Thank God For Google!!!!

I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR THEM!!!!!!!

I got this call from a guy saying i was given as a reference and threatening me also if i don't call i will be in big trouble.  i don't who they are.

I got a call from a woman saying the same thing.

These people are in violation of Fair Debt laws in my state:
1.  They call me at work when they have been asked not to
2.  Do not identify what company they are with
3.  Threaten me if I do not call them back
4.  If they are a debt collector, they legally have to identify themselves as such

I will be reporting them to the state attorney general's office

I just paid these people $150.00. and they think that I am about to send then $685.00.  For some reason I just did not feel right about this call and I asked them to send me documents they said that they would send me the documents once I paid off the debt. I am going to report them. Thanks for the heads up.
