They claim to have your ss# and won't tell you what it is all about....

They are very secretive about who they are but Want you SS# and information, but will not tell you who they are or what they actually want.

"we're calling because we were told by someone, who has an account, and we have your social security number.....uh well, they gave us your account and social number, and we wanted to know about your account and social security number."  ........I laughed and told them to go to #3ll.

Did the exact same thing to me as we'll revealed that they are SRG and that I looked up is a debt collection company.

Same thing as above: "we're calling because we were told by someone, who has an account, and we have your social security number.....uh well, they gave us a file with your name on it and social number, and we wanted to verify  your account and social security number. and we need to speak with ......." .They are debt collector or contractor looking to reopen some old debts off your credit report even if the debt is wrong. They get a cut of collecting the debtor claim. And  might offer a lower amout to settle. However, if you pay a little  you owe the entire amount . It will not go away. This normally happens when you a close to the 10 year limit of reported debt and attempting to verify your SSN and name etc to send you a bill and reopen the debt so it wont drop off you credit report.
Tell them to go to hell.

I got a call from them today and sent it to my voicemail. I listened to the message and on it they stated they are 'Select Resource Group' and have "critical information" for me. lol It's a debt collector as it states at the end of the message.
