I received a call from this number with an automated message about being some sort of business service.  When I called the number back they wanted to know the amount of credit card sales generated by our company and asked us to leave a name and phone number.  I left a message with my name andphone number but I disclosed no personal information.  They also asked for an email and a fax number which I did not give.  Any company I already do business with would have this information.

This company is calling my store 4-5 times per day. It is so annoying. I would like for this harassment to stop immediately.

Got a call in the morning from this number and 1866-713-7598 later this morning both were offering a FREE credit card transaction terminal. The first call said that I had registered for a Texas Business Association (or something to that effect) on July 28th, which I didn't. Must just be the date they got my number. I did just register to pay state sales tax about two weeks ago. Seems like the state is selling my information. That's disappointing to think.

Howdy, I received back-to-back calls from 714-408-7266, and then from 866-713-7598 five minutes later.  I didn't answer, or call back, but I too just received my TX Sales Tax ID.  I don't think the state sold my contact info, but instead I suspect this POS solicitor pulled my number from public records related to the Sales Tax ID.

I just registered for my sales tax number. Unfortunately, that is public record and can be obtained for free by anyone like this cedit card processing company. I think the state will charge them for a CD or download of the information, but it is pretty much at cost. They can get the information for free if they search the records themselves It is also published in the Dallas Business Journal.

As far as the credit card processing company, they do not seem to want to answer questions that would allow an apples to apples comparison between them and their competitors.

I just got a call from 714-408-7266 and 877-232-2370 about 5 minutes later. The latter was a credit card processing company looking to provide me with their services. Just like the other posts, I too just registered my company with the State of Texas for my sales tax number. I guess that's what we have to put up with and people are looking at every way to make a dime. But, I can't say as I blame them I just don't always agree with their methodology.

These people are now calling my cell phone and not just home phone.  I have asked them to stop calling and I was also put on a no call list (which doesn't work).  I want them to stop calling me.

I recently opened my business and I've been receiving phone calls from 1 714 408 7266 everyday, they call my house,my cell and not to mention my office. They never leave a message but the times I answer the phone they offer me a credit card terminal...I already told them that I have one that was provided by my bank and they still call EVERYDAY. The State must be selling our information to these companies. What a shame....!!!

    Hey,

I used Google Voice to set up a number for my business that forwards all calls to my real number, and it keeps these losers from bothering me because blocking calls through them is quite easy.  If it's possible, you might consider that as one line of defense.  google.com/voice

They did not leave a message, but now that I know it's merchant servicing, it makes sense.  I run a business attached to my cell phone, and it's irritating when you get these calls at 9 AM on the drive to your day job!!! ESPECIALLY when they don't leave a number!!!

Received 2 calls from number today.  Have not answered, did not leave a message.  Like others, I run several businesses and cannot afford the time or waster thereof to be interrupted by telemarketers, especially when I am on the do-not call list.

So file a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.

Even if you are not on the list a call with only a recorded message is inappropriate.

Just got a call from this number at my home and when i didn't answer they called my cell phone that I list for my business. The disturbing thing for me is they say they are the State of Texas and their called ID says Texas Business Service or some such crap, I would like to report these business as fraud because they want you to think they are a State agency.

I got a call from this number 714-408-7266, saying that they were a "debt collection agency"  I have no debts whatsoever.  I do not even have a credit card or a credit score at this point in my life.  They left a 1-866 number to call back and they have been calling my phone randomly throughout the day.  I just don't answer.  Be careful who you give your number out to on the internet no matter how much you think they can be trusted.
