got the same voicemail yesterday, called back and an Indian sounding man began to read me an Afidavit including Check fraud etc. i asked who the creditor was, he said i was being rude, said he would forward info to my local Courthouse and hung up on me? seems to be the same as previous posts, scary time though

Don't you just love how flustered these scammers get and hang up, when you demand validation?

This is a scam, and reason everyone in the USA get these calls is that our representatives are out with lobbyists, on private jets and could give two [***]

What the hell? I was having a wonderful day until I received this phone call from this phone number. I was scared out of my mind. Thank god all of you have posted your concerns because I would have packed a bag and took off out of the country. Just kidding. The funny thing is that I have no reason to run. But getting a phone call like this should be illegal. This is harassment. Not cool at all. Thank all of you for helping me.

After the person stated that I would be arrested in an hour I completely lost it. The [***] part is I have health issues not including major anxiety following a horrible car accident..... than this man calls.....scares the #$%& out of me. NOT COOL.

call them back and leave a threatening message saying that they will be arrested for harassing phone calls.  see them in court!

It is a scare attic to scare you, you can not go to jail for owing debt. When they called me I told him I will go to jail when he speak better English along with f*ck you!

Block them it is a scam. You  can not get arrested for owing debt if that was the case half of us would  be in jail Just laugh at them...lol  Don't be scared  a bunch of foreigners talking smack

It was so good to read all of your opinions regarding this phone call. Common sense told me that people do not get warned in advance regarding being arrested, so I did think it was a scam. However, it is such an evil thing to do . . . and it was very upsetting to listen to!

I received this same call at 5:45am this morning that went to voicemail.  I couldn't help but worry about it so I called the number back.  The accented voice said I had a lawsuit filed against me at that I would be arrested in 45 minutes to 1 hour at either my physical address or at work, and if I had an attorney.  I asked questions to verify they had the right person and all they had was my name and address, no SSN.  They said it was a debt with Financial Credit Bureau, for $997.88 but will be $5,484.88 not including attorney fees.  I stated I had not outstanding financial debt.  They asked if I had received notice, no I had not.  They then said the arresting officer would have paperwork and I should take care of the problem myself.

Thank goodness I looked up the number, I feel much better seeing all your posts.  I will report the call the FTC and my local police.

Got the same call Friday,spoke to them earlier they said they were issuing a warrant for my arrest but I'm still free:)...(714-464-6853) is poison...

Same call you all received...I'm going to be arrested and they'd see me in court. It's a scam.  I know this because I have no debt & my credit is spotless and I am, and always have been, a law-abiding citizen.  Report these people...this is surely illegal. They are no doubt spoofing that number from where they really are (probably some creepy third-world country) and having calls forwarded to them from that number.  Nice try.

Received a message stating "see you in court". It was a recorded voice but i clearly detected a Pakistani or Indian accent even on the recorded voice. I have recently received other calls that my loan (I didn't apply for any loans) application has been approved. It may have been the same number but I did not pay attention as I was very annoyed at this type of call at dinner time. This sounded like a live caller with an unmistakable Pakistani or Indian accent. When I tried to call back, I was not able to get through. This was on another phone but still a 716 area code phone just as my cell phone is. When I tried to call back the other call once, I got the impression that it was some type of work place but can't remember any other important information. I think these calls may be made during someone's work hours and they may be using company phone lines to make the calls.
