Waits until you say something then connects to a call center operator who says they are launching a veterans job opportunities program.  Caller ID says "Huntington Beach".

Robo call - no msg -- blocked!

Huntington Beach, male person speaking, said it was a veteran's organization and asked for a "Brian" (I am not Brian) and wanted me to donate.

Called my cellphone, did not leave a message.

They called my very private cell phone number at 6:52 PM PDT on 1 August 2017. The caller ID said "Huntington Beach, CA". I did not answer. They did not leave a message. My phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. I will report them to DoNotCall.gov.

Never call them back, not even from a blocked phone. They have ways to unmask your phone number even when it is blocked.

There is nothing special about your telephone number. Anyone can call it, accidentally or on purpose. What is special is your name associated with the phone number. If the caller does not know your name, then the caller is simply dialing all possible numbers in an (area code)+(exchange) hoping someone gullible will answer.
As these people are criminals, they do not bother to avoid calling numbers that have been registered on the Do Not Call list. You will get more calls in the future from scammers, as more criminals get autodialers and begin dialing away.
You can call these numbers if you use a pay phone. Good luck finding one.

Asked for Robert (im not robert and my family has had this number for over 25years no ome named robert)said he was with some  bull sh*t non profit raising money for police officers who have fallen in the line of duty  i said i have no momey he quickly said sorry we can not help you and before I could ask him what the he'll that ment. He hung up on me I attempted to call back and it just rings obviously a scam no non profit has that poor of manors and is that sketchy

Caller called my cell phone and claimed to be some sort of law enforcement benefit group.  It is a SCAM,since real law enforcement would NOT make these calls.  Received a similar call from 559-374-0025.

Called my cell. Left no message. Caller id said is was from Huntington Beach.

Got a call today did not answer, seems I have gotten on some kind of scammer list, I receive 10-15 calls a day keep blocking but the nightmare does not end. Wonder what to do. Do not want to change my cell phone since I have had it for over 22 years

Changing your number won't do any good since there are no new phone numbers and you'll just end up with all the unwanted calls the previous owner of your new number was getting. Try a call blocker which enables you to block entire area codes.

Spam call, it was a robo call, then a voice asking for donations to a veterans thing.

Caller ID said "Telemarketer".  I picked up the phone but didn't say anything.  Neither did the caller, who disconnected after 16 seconds.

From Hungtinton Beach ID and say nothing, no voice mail . I blocked it
