I received the same exact call from "Brian Williams" and hung up on it. After finding this forum I called the number back and used the automated system to remove my phone number from the list.

This called my cell phone today. Was obviously spam because I have no student loans or credit card debt! If it calls back it's getting the silent ring tone.

Called me on my direct work line. Robocall of male voice who said his name is Brian Williams; "we had spoke earlier about your student loans and unsecured credit card debt." Then I hung up on him. I have never had student loans and do not have any credit card debt.

Well, I guess since VMS Alarms has gotten slapped by the FTC ( http://www.ftc.gov/es/node/288341 ), seems this number is now being used for "National Crisis", a general name supposedly helping people with drug addition/etc.  Tried to waste their time, but after a couple of 'Hellos', they hung up.  They have done this before.  Seems like the people doing their telemarketing have a problem of engaging in conversation with people.

I use to do telemarketing back in 1997, they do fill out papers for the NDNC (National Do Not Call List) List however the numbers are ALWAYS recycled into new calling campaigns. It's done by a main server not a human so as annoying as it is, the humans do fill the NDNC (National Do Not Call List) List's out but it really isn't pushed. We actually had people threaten to contact their atty regarding our calls, when that happened we used a disposition key and amazingly the person was not bothered again. This same stupid number calls me ALL the flipping time, however I screen ALL of my calls for this reason as well as my telephone number use to belong to a business lol and I tell you people are so STUPID that I tell them this is NOT blah blah blah's business anymore but if your calling for ME leave name number and all that jive and I usually either pick up or just go on my merry way because they still leave a detailed msg for the business that I just told them no longer has this phone number lmao it's irratating but wicked funny that people are so simple minded that they can't pay mind to a msg telling them this isnt what they called seeking. I guess ignorance is bliss loool

NEVER EVER give your location to unknown numbers and people calling you. IF the FBI was to call you, they already know your location 9 out of 10 times. It's either a spoof or someone with malicious intent in mind. Lol the FBI needs your location...WOW! People just won't stop the stupidity, I'm convinced it's a legit illness now and not just an act. Always take caution when giving ANY personal information. Validating home number, cell number, address, work details, personal identification numbers ie: Social Security numbers, Credit card numbers...Anything that can enable someone to assume YOUR identity, harm you or your family or rob your home or worse. In the day and age we live in now, we have to always assume the worst in or of people. The world is not the place it was 30 years ago, it was safe then, now you don't even want to walk out in the daylight without mace. My Suggestion....Get an answering machine and screen all of your calls like I do. I have voice mail for when my service is down lol I can still screen calls and listen to machine and playback once service is back up from maint. I'm oober cautious. Also, online media, NEVER post your going out of town publicly on any whiteboards or walls (like on Facebook for example) because you could have someone casing your house and once your gone, you, your family and your home is a sitting duck for some stranger to violate. Keep your doors locked at all times unless you just can't and never leave your kids alone outside. So sad that the world is this way anymore. I remember being a kid (30 years ago) it was safe to go out in the yard and play while dad was at work and mom was inside the house doing her things. The door was locked once everyone was home and in for the night. Shakes head now you unlock the door to shut it behind you and lock it again. It's just sad.

It's a telemarketing agency. Each Solicitation call is listed as a different calling campaign, it's based on the companies they are hired to represent. When I was doing telemarketing in 1997 I started on a AT&T Wind-back calling campaign, once them numbers were exhausted they were cycled out of the server and we were then hired by UPS and we were selling UPS packages, We did a Democratic/Republican calling campaign (Which I had oppted out (They couldn't force us to do this one so I stayed on the UPS campaign until the Democratic/Republican calling campaign was completely penetrated of because politics has no business in a work environment, it's too haughty and opinion dividing amongst friends and co-workers to bring into an employment center and before I left the telemarketing scene (Money was good but all the drama and yelling was exhausting and mentally draining you> I don't like them either they are annoying for sure but it is a job and you use to make decent wages) We were put on a Visa Card calling campaign. So, that's the insides of a telemarketing ring. From a receiver of the annoying calls to the person placing that annoying call I completely understand both sides.

Caller ID showd name XO, as posted above. I answered only because my mom is staying here after being released ftom the hospital and she was sleeping,  I didn't want her to be woken up.
Robo Call- Do you or a loved one have a problem with addiction? What the what ??? I terminated the call & yes I'm on the "laughable" DNC list too. Guess the stopping of robo calls didn't work.

I guess everyone knows this, but there's no help for drug addicts or free alarm system. They have called me so many times that I've talked to the operators to try to get the free alarm, and to get help for drug addiction. I was playing along to try to see what the end-game was. But it seems if you call them on the bluff they have no idea what to do so they eventually just hang up on you even if you act courteously and appear genuinely interested. The Do Not Call is a joke because they can just switch the number that shows up on a caller ID and suddenly they are a "new" company to which the Do Not Call or request for number removal does not apply. It's analogous to a stalker who was slapped with a restraining order getting away with harassment so long as he changes numbers each time.

No complaints since 2014, but I have one.  The caller ID said NOT IN SERVICE, so I immediately was suspect.  I have had numerous annoying calls this evening, including a survey from Dynata.  When I called back using *67 for privacy, the message said they were Dynata, not NOT IN SERVICES, so SCAM suspected.
