    This may be an upsell call from Cox Communications. My Dad is a subscriber and answered on the second ring, finding only silence. The caller had abandoned instantly. Caller ID CNAM read only "Cox".

    He's endured several peekaboo calls for the past eight days from a different number said to be for Cox sales. Its CNAM each time was "Cox Cable". They either abandoned the moment his phone recorder is detected or cause it to record a few dud seconds of silence.

    He's been a steady customer of the local cable TV service for maybe 35 years and three different owners. Its value was nibbled away over time after Cox took over. Over the last decade their telemarketing campaigns have been similarly irritating and relentless. I think they're way overdue for a cease-comm letter, assuming it's really Cox and not some spoofing scam outfit.

    Thanks for your fine explanation.  I received a couple of calls without messages on my answering service today from this number.  Cox is a likely culprit; they certainly send enough offers via my mail.

    I have been receiving messages from this number for 3-4 days now: It sounds like someone whispering from the end of a tunnel and the message only lasts about 3-5 seconds.... VERY annoying !   ESPECIALLY if it's from Cox (my provider also).

    I called the number twice to ask them not to call me.  It says to leave a message and then another message states the mail box is full!

    Stop Caling me we have all we want from you so do not call us if we need anything we will call you . The calls we get only call then no answer just nothing then it goes dead so sotp calling 757-905-7114

    This is a public forum for people who receive unknown/spam/scam calls.  This website cannot stop your caller from calling you.  This website is not owned or maintained by the company who is calling you.  YOU will have to tell your callers to stop calling.

    First, turn off your caps lock.

    Second, there is nobody here using this bulletin board calling you or harassing you.  You can't give us a "FINALE [sic] WARNING" or take us to court.  We just share our experiences to try to identify unwanted callers.  Besides, we don't even know who you are or how to call you even if we DID want to harass you.

    I strongly suggest that if you really want to sue someone for harassment, you talk to a real lawyer licensed to practice in your state.  You sound like you do not know what you are doing and have no familiarity with the applicable laws.  So you would need a lot of help in court.

    I keep getting calls from this number, 4 calls today.  I answer and no one is on the line.  I try to call back and then number is busy.

    I called back the number and it goes straight to VM. Voicemail says to dial a number to leave a message, but hung instantly thereafter.

    I just got 2 calls this AM 12/21/2013; was sleeping, so I did not pick up. I don't know who this is from...I also am a long-time Cox customer.

    I am getting calls from this number as well, same thing as everyone else and I'm a Cox customer. I'm going to have them remove my number from their system. They are horrible..going to see if my property manager will let me get satellite.

    I got a call with silence just like everyone else. Im a Cox customer.  I don't think Cox is the one making these calls. Why would they do that? It is apparently a "scouting" call by telemarketers to see if your number is worth dialing for future marketing calls.
