The phone number 714-661-5543 no longer answers.

From some of your comments, it seems the text message was sent via email to a SMS gateway which is how it showed up as a text on your phone.  The people at the phone number listed might have not known anything about it, especially if that extension is unused, as an earlier post hinted at.

I got the same message from the same number and different numbers supposedly from JP Morgan Chase for my debit card number starting with "511182XXXX ".  I don't have a debit card from chase, so I know it's bogus.  My cell phone carrier is also T-Mobile.  So the spammers probably hacked t-mobile database to get the cell phone numbers.  I wish I could stop incoming text messages because each one is costing me 5 cents.
