No message left.  Another in a series of spoofed #'s starting with 714-699-22##.  Number now blocked.

Typical scam caller from an unknown number with no caller id and doesn't leave a message! White pages has it rated at high risk for scam or fraud! Blocked!

This people need to be reported to the cops. They called again today at 1:59 PM PST. You guys need to call the police.

The police? Nothing.
But YOU can do something. Most news stories etc. say "report it to the FCC / FTC / Attorney General" etc. Who will do just about as much as the police. What they never tell you is that YOU can sue the blighters in Small Claims Court. It's written right into the federal codes for telemarketing violations, under "private right of action." Google the Code of Federal Regulations, 47 USC 64.1200
Get on the Federal DNC list. Then you need TWO calls to bring a suit. You also have to identify them, bill them, then when they ignore you, file a small claims suit. SC is "courtroom light" and YOU CAN DO THIS.
Go to Amazon and look for the two books on how to sue telemarketers.

As you said, you need to know who they are and where they are to sue them. Finding that out is next to impossible.

You may not be able to sue these people, BUT if they give you ANY indication who they represent (home improvement, contractors, etc), report them to the the FTC's DO NOT CALL complaint website at https://complaints.donotcall.gov  Unfortunately, my caller did NOT say anything, so I cannot report them 'yet'.  I can BLOCK them if they are repeat callers, and I track them in ACCESS for history.

If you find out who they represent, you can sue those people, and through discovery add this outfit as a defendant.

Another 'so-called' local contractor wanting your money, I mean they want your business.  I politely told them NO, and take me off their list. This is the 2nd call this month, and THIS time they 'showed their stripes', so I reported them to the FTC's complaint website at https://complaints.donotcall.gov  'Maybe' if their website receives enough calls, they will act on it?
