Called me 3 times today.  No message left.  I called back from a blocked number and receive an automated message about refinancing my mortgage.  Some loser lender who is afraid to leave a message. Block and avoid!

Answered call, blip noise right away, thick accent lady with vague details about me and about a government mortgage program. I ask how she got my number, said public domain. I asked why are they calling me, ignores and proceeds with her opening statements. I ask if she is a scammer, she was slightly taken back, suddenly her accent got cleaner. I asked where they are located, she says LA. I ask what time is it there, she replies "uh, let me check..." I have enough time to say "yeaaaa exactly what i thought." She then quickly says..."It's 3 o'clock. I don't have my watch today" (It was 3:10, and nobody in LA rounds 10 minutes down, and nobody in LA has to think about what time it is as there's always the time on a computer monitor or wall clock. I assume she had to look at an international clock wall.) I ask "wheres your cellphone to check the time?" Says she isn't allowed to have one on the job... (No real Californian follows that rule) She offers to take me off her list, I confirm and ask her to do that. Ends up it's a 714 Irvine area code, but she said LA....
