I got a call today from this number it was a guy with a really thick Indian accent and I could not understand him. 714-733-5614 He said that I needed to call their senior attorney because he has an affidavit for me because I have charges against me. Except the number they told me to call was the same number they called me from. When I called it, it when strait to a voice mail that was full.

If you had possibly taken out a payday loan in the past or currently have some out or even paid one off a long time ago,  these people are extortionists from another country that are trying to scam you into paying money to them.  This has been happening since the early 2000's and unfortunately they have breached the data bases of quite a few online payday loan companies and that is how they had stolen your information.  Unless you have a new phone number that belonged to someone else that had taken out some online loans.  They have also breached into quite a few legitimate collection agency databases as well.  This has been reported to the FTC, FBI and many state attorney generals as well as many state local authorities.  YOU OWE THEM NOTHING.  Please go to www.ftc.gov and look up the FDCPA.  This is an act that protects you for debt collections in all states.  Especially in a situation like this.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!

i got a call from this number too. telling me that i needed to pay a loan because they had
a law suit against me . they ask me to send them a check to pay for  a loan from my car account from bank of america. these people are just trying to scam people and take your money just be aware

My brother in law recived a call from this number stating they were calling him from an attorneys office threatning they were going to file a lawsuit if he didnt pay them $400.00 supposeably they were representing Bank of america. on a account that he was current on and wasnt even on collections.

I received a call as well - sorta scary and they were very awful - hard to understand but it went from a lawsuit against me to a payday loan to knowing my social security number to asking me why I didnt call them back when they left me a voicemail minutes before, I felt threatened then they called me at work and home and my cell! Its almost erie how much info they had on me, very upsetting.

I had a very similar message to the other comments on my work and cell phone - the number was 714-733-5616 so I suspect this is the same person/group on another extension they own. Voice mail from this number by someone with a foreign accent. Content of the message was as follows "This message is intended for Michelle ________. Michelle, the very second you receive this message I need you, or your retained attorney of record to return my call. The issue at hand is extremely sensitive. My name is Kevin Smith. (not understandable....) duties at 714-733-5616. Don't try to disregard this message and do return my call. Now Michelle, if you dont return my call and I dont hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck and the situation falls on you. So, Michelle forward it to me as soon as possible, ok? This is a very serious matter for you. Goodbye and Take Care." This was left on my cell phone AND my work number. I felt strongly this is a scam as if this were anything requiring attorneys this guys attorney would have called - not him. And, Kevin Smith, with that heavy accent? Come on. When I tried to call back to confront, I got a recording that said I reached the scam hotline, leave a message. This is extremely suspicious.

I have been getting calls from these people for several months and many different numbers. They call my work and cell phone. It's truly unfortunately that nothing can be done to stop this.

I just got a call from these people at my work telling me about some lawsuit that my name and ss# are involoved.  His name was " jeff daniels calling for Jennifer Sword law firm.  I s there any recourse that can be taken????

I have had call after call from these Indian people.They said that I have 3 law suits against me all from pay day loan agencies.I ask them what law frim they are from.They said the law frim of Jennifer Swords.I also inquired what state the law frim is out of.They said California.If you get a call for 714-733-5614 or if you recive a call,private name private number be mindful.The better business bureau of California are BBB told me the law frim did not exist and not to send any money becouse its a SCAM.

I received numerous phone calls to them and would not state who the collector from, I do have an outstanding loan but currently active not delinquent. I called them today and unfortunately they have used daragatory words over the phone and very unprofessional with their thick Indian Accent. I would like to have this call trace and how do they seem to connect or have the phone routed to them.

I just got a call from this number. They left me a message on my work phone saying that they're going to arrest me.  I need to send them $495 or they would send the police to my job and arrest me.  The individual had a strong accent and I was not able to understand him.  He had all of my personal information. Thank God I happen to mention this to my co-worker. She also received this call and told me it was a scam. Beware folks, do not fall for it.

I received the same calls and advise them that if they had any legal paperwork they would have to serve it appropriately. They threatened with sending the Sheriff to my job as well. Please don't fall for these scams. I am a law school graduate so I am familiar with the law but these people keep calling and start yelling when I ask them why, if they work for a law firm, they are not familiar with the proper process of service and filing legal documents. Please do not let them intimidate you.

Also be aware that they have resorted to sending me text messages like they are a friend who lost my contact information and need to confirm my information so they could send me a birthday card. I am shoocked that they have resorted to such low tactics!!!!

I HAD AN ATTORNEY FROM THIS NUMBER CALL MY CELL TODAY. HE SAID THAT IF I DONT SEND HIM MONEY THAT THE LOAN PAYDAY LOAN WAS ASKING FOR. HE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO SEND THE PAPER WORK TO THE COURT HOUSE TO HAVE THE SHERIF'S OFFICE TO HAVE SOMEONE COME TO MY PLACE OF WORK TO EITHER TALK TO MY EMPLOYER AND LOOSE MY JOB OR ARREST ME AND PUT ME IN JAIL. I DIDNT BELIEVE THEM ONE BIT BECAUSE WHAT GAVE HIM AWAY WAS, I ASKED HIM WHAT WAS MY JOB ADDRESS THAT HE HAD ON HIS FILE AND HE TOLD ME THE ADDRESS OF MY OLD JOB.

These people are calling me and threating me and saying that I have payday loan. They even named my banking facility. Some guy names Joseph Daniels is calling leaving the message. Heavy Indian accent and they try not to give u any info and then get very rude with u if u say anything to them. I have called the Los Angeles Sherrifs dept an they are unaware of any such charges. Please beware of these people they may have alot of information on you that has been obtained from the internet.

I know what you mean. I had the same exact phone call with the same exact conversation. He insisted that I retain a attorney because this is a very serious matter. And his accent was very strong as well, along with his so called paralegals that left me numerous voice mail messages on my cell phone to call the law office of Jennifer Swortz.

I just received the SAME call... saying his name was Roger and they were with the Anderson lawfirm and I had to pay almost 1000$. They said I had to pay with a prepaid card and make sure it wasnt linked to my social security number... these people are rude and told me the sheriffs will find me.. WTF?

I Just received a call from them saying that they were going to come to my job and serve me about a loan that I took out.  I never got approved for any loans and both of my accounts are open and can prove that no money has been deposited into them from any loan lenders. SCAM SCAM SCAM and they were very rude when I tried to obtain information about the "LOAN" I am suppose to have.

I Just called the number back and asked them how much was the loan for and he said $745.33. I acted as if I had the money to pay and he asked me to go to a nearby walgreens or wal-mart and load the money on the card and call him back with the information. Then I said I thought weren't a debt collector but an attorney's office. He immediately hung up.
