When you or your family go to a free lunch, dinner, the sponser asks for your name and  NUMBER,  YOU voluntary give them the right to call you.  So nothing is free.  In this case the Neptune Society is calling you to arrange to take care of you after death.  If you don't want them or anyone to call you, DON'T ATTEND THOSE FREE DINNERS and give out your Phone number.

Got call this morning..no message left.  Called back. Got recording saying that number had been disconnected!

This is Neptune Society cremation services calling from this number. They are sneaky. I called them once for a price quote, big mistake, and now they wont stop calling me. When I say Hello, they respond with Pam? (like they know me) I say yes? and then they ask me to confirm my last name for them. I don't think so, I hung up on them. I tried not answering when they call back but its all the time and they don't leave messages. This last time I saw the number and answered ready for them. I said Hello when they said, Pam?? I said no I'm sorry you have the wrong number. Lets hope that works. Crossing my fingers.

this number has called 4 times in the last 14 days trying to sell cremation series...I have told them NO and asked them to stop calling....apparently they ignore my request

The Neptune Society! I've told them so many times I'm not interested in their cremation services but the jerks keep calling my cell phone. Even if I were to die tomorrow, there is no way in hell these idiots will be hired. STOP CALLING

I've never once in my life attended a free dinner or anything else. I'm a freaking hermit and don't leave the house much, nor do I talk to people. I don't fill out forms online with my phone number or anything else. Hell, my name isn't even James. So not everyone who is being hassled by the Neptune Society brought it on themselves.

These people have acesss to Medical Records and also to Debt records and the closer you  or someone in your family get to the end of the line the more they will try to sell you  a cremation or collect bills.  They share phone numbers.  So it could be the Neptune Society, or it could be debt collectors saying they are the Neptune Society.  So just beware.  If they can nail you to a phone number, they will continue to share info and bombard you with calls.  I know.  I used to work for a Collection Agency, and we would use anything to verify a name and phone number.  I had to quit after several months to the sleezy people I worked for and worked with.  Scum of the earth.

I called back the number 714-937-1555 and get a recording that the number is no longer in service.  Same withe Golden Media number that others rcommended

15 calls in one week. I reported them to the Federal Communications Com through the "Do not call" web-site. Since this has been going on for years I imagine that they don't/won't do anything about it.

I work as a telemarketer for GM and here is what most of you don't understand:

1: You contacted us.  In most cases, this was in the form of a response card you mailed back, requesting further information about cremation services.  The national Do Not Call list does not apply because you reached out to us for information.

2: We are not hanging up on you.  Our dialing system has a delay time to connect.  You think nobody is on the line and you hang up, annoyed.  We say hello a split second later, only to find a dead phone line.  If you would wait the extra second, we could have a conversation.

3: We are more than happy to take you off the list if you are no longer interested in our services.  Just tell us you want to be removed.  DO NOT say in your meanest voice "NOT INTERESTED!" and then hang up.  Our disposition system for "currently not interested" will call you back several weeks later to follow-up.  If you take the courtesy to communicate clearly, instead of blowing up or being terse and hanging up on us, we can assist you.  Simply state you would like to be removed from the list and we will do so.

4: No system is perfect.  Sometimes we remove a caller from the dialer, only to realize later there was another record with the same number in the system (ex: a husband and wife both submit request cards at separate times).  We will do our best to resolve these issues, but we are human too.

5. WE ARE HUMAN TOO.  We are students, trying to work our way through school.  We are professionals who got laid off in the recession, trying to make ends meet.  We are working moms who couldn't go to college, but happen to have the gift of gab.  We aren't out to get you; we are just out to do a good job and earn our keep.  Being a telemarketer can be downright brutal.  Some people curse at you from the moment you say a friendly "hello".  Not all of you are going to want our services, but please be civil about it.  A call is not a personal attack on your privacy; it is just a call.  We are presuming you wanted the information you requested, so take a second to tell us if or why this isn't the case, so we understand how to proceed.  A little courtesy on both sides will go a long way for all of us.

I am sick of golden media. No one is there when I answer, rings twice then hangs up and never leaves a message. How do I get them to stop.
