Same experience as the others, i.e., calls my cellphone, hangs up after three rings, no message.  Please support Consumer Reports' campaign to end robocalls, which appears to  be progressing through Congress.  Problem:  So many of these scammers actually are located in foreign countries and the numbers that show up on caller ID my not really be U.S. numbers.

Finally got tired of all the calls and turned my phone ringer off.  These are the lowest of the scumbags.

Amen--have made long distance calls irrelevant--no one answers them expecting a scammer. The phone company deserves to lose business to the internet.

No message left. Caller ID was pro cash. Some kind of loan sale.. Put on call block.

thank god for the internet. as soon as an unknown call comes in, I google the number, see spam reports and IGNORE, but not before ultimately blocking the number

This is really becoming a national emergency.  I personally have 75 phone numbers blocked on my phone.  Most if not all of these numbers are likely spoofed phone numbers (legitimate phone numbers used for the purposes of being displayed on caller ID to cover the real origin of a phone call ).  Multiply that times the estimated 265 million cell phones in the United States alone and it starts to look like an attack that is causing a breakdown in our communications.  There could already be nearly 20 billion phone numbers blocked.

I had the same thing happen to me. It was very rude and unprofessional.  I have received multiple calls from this number after pressing the prompt to be removed from their calling list.

Robot call

Called at 3:20 PM on my cell. Caller ID said Shawano, WI. There was no one on the line when I answered.

they call my business, nobody answers on the other line, they sit for about 15 seconds then hang up

Download Mr. Number app. Stops them completely on cell phones! I deleted it thinking I no longer needed the app, I was wrong... immediately put it back on my phone.

They called my cell, second call today. I had 4 calls yesterday. This is getting really out of hand. I now get 7-17 calls each week! Isn't there any way to stop this harrassment?

Call blocker might be of some help.  Not picking up on numbers you don't recognize helps too.

We don't bother picking up nonesence calls any more. No voicemail.
