Rothman Mediation Services. Very rude and threatening, says I have an unpaid payday loan. They also call from 888-847-0170.

Report them to FTC via online or mail ASAP. They refuse to mail me proof of the debt, real shady. Payday loans are illegal in several states which makes the loan void. Threatening consumers are illegal.

The FTC is closed indefinitely.  They are not even taking complaints to place in their queue or opening their database to other law enforcement agencies to use.  Unless you can convince enough Tea Party congressmen to fund it specially (and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for THAT to happen), don't expect any help from the FTC.

Apparently they are allowed to call a sibling and threaten them the same as they are trying to threaten the person they are going after. They are a collection agency, posing as a law firm. I called the number that they left to get more info told them they had the wrong number and person, threatened me to give them info on my sister and I told them I don't have contact with her anymore....they have been calling for 3 months randomly and the automated message hasn't changed...."this is a final warning"....my [***]

They are calling me, my minor children, my brother and my bf.  Very threatening and when i ask who they represent they will NOT TELL ME.  Was even transferred to a "supervisor" once still no info given to me. They have even left messages with my parents.  Original voice sounds like they are from India.

This company is being investigated as we speak. They will be hearing from my lawyer as well.

My cousin from another state gets a phone call from a so called mediation firm looking for me first off I never put my cousin name in anything not even job reference...and telling my family name and I gotta make a payment right away or I'm going to get arrested...the lady was rude,making fun of me,and threatening me, and some guy at first transferred me to the lady but I have a smart phone and it shows when someone puts u on hold.....but this the number that harassed me 716-213-6959....I smell scam

Hey they are psycho lying [***].

They have called me and some of my relatives many times.  Today, they called my boss and told him they were having a warrant for my arrest delivered to my work on Monday (yea, ok, you will not be notified if you are being issued a warrant for your arrest.)  When I called them back, they told me that my "friend" told them who my boss was and what his number was.  The number they gave me for my so-called friend isn't even in service; not to mention they flat out lied and said they never told my boss they were having a warrant for my arrest on Monday.  crackpots.  I filed a complaint with the FTC on them.  they also use an 800 number 888-847-0170 . I think what they are doing is "spoofing" legitimate numbers and using the company's name..

I got a new cell phone and there was a call when i received it! They called friday, saturday and again today a monday. Message was very offensive. I called them back and the guy was rather angry at me demanding my phone number and hung up on me! I called back after i retrieved the phone number and talked to james jackson. They were looking for someone else! I wish the phone company would make certain these phone numbers they get are not from anyone who has a bad past with money!!

I got a call today from Rothman Mediations. They told me they are going to send a warrant for my arrest and I would appear before a judge if I don't pay this payday loan they say I had. They called my Supervisor and left message with her telling her they are going to take legal actions aganist me and told my mom the same thing. These crazy people needs to stop this. Calling around telling lies on people.

Got a new type of call from them a few minutes ago.  The recording says to make good use of my tax return by calling them because their client has offered to settle with me for "an amount that is beneficial to me."  The recording is the voice of the same guy who always calls but this time it is very jovial.  I thought it was a telemarketing pitch at first.  These people will stop at nothing to try to rip you off!

I have already reported this number and 888-847-0170 to the FTC and they continue to call.  They just called again a few minutes ago.  This time the recording says that they have made many attempts to contact me and I have never responded.  He said if I don't respond today that it is out of their hands and they will advise their client to proceed with litigation.  I have spoken with these people once, in the very beginning when these calls started.  The woman said it was for a returned check with a "financial institution".  She gave me the name of some check cashing place that I have never heard of and insisted that I bounced a check there, which according to her, is fraud.  I explained to her that I haven't had a checkbook in over 5 years and have never written a bad check.  When I pushed her for more info, she became very upset and told me that I would be taken to court and would have to pay triple the amount they were asking for...which was $950.  I repeatedly refused to give her my bank info over the phone and eventually she hung up.  I stopped answering calls from these numbers, but the calls and voicemails continue.  The latest update the FTC has sent me is that they are having trouble locating the "company" that has been calling me.  I hope they track these people down soon.

This is a number that bothers me 3 times every day. Mr. Jack***. ..I mean Jackson started telling me about a bad check regarding a payday loan, which is illegal here in NC. He told me that we could resolve this matter if I give my bank acct info. He wouldn't let me say one word. So I hung up....He called right back and ask me why my rude a** hung up and told me that he would send authorities to my work place to take me in, I also told him if he was legit to mail me some paperwork...I told him I wanted to ride shotgun and my rude a** hung up again....Haven't bothered him but one last time and let him know that if some fake law enforcement showed up at my workplace. ....The United States Post Office....He better be ready to take a ride.
Do not fall for this scam or be frightened.   just have some fun talkin to him! pretend agency
