FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) applies to people collecting debts..  I'm not collecting a debt.  Waste your time and investigate to find out that what I'm posting is true.  Just so you know, I was a bill collector.  That's how I knew I could settle for 15%.  Cheers :-)

Can't tell at all that you work FOR them, not WITH them! Common sense could tell anyone that there are no "wonderful, smart people" working for any collection agency! Quit your lying!

Oh Anna..  Did that happen to you?  Did someone lie to you and then you believed it?  A good way to be approved for a loan is to.. you got it.. Pay your bills from the beginning..  Did your parents teach you that growing up?

I took the time to talk to Michael and he helped me settle a bad debt for 30% of what I owed in payments. I am in gratitude for his kindness.

These guys are a little sketch about trying to get ahold of you, but once they do... they are very easy to talk to and are definitely willing to work with you.

[***], you are a deceitful person if you tell a person if they pay their debts, their credit score is going to soar to new heights. It takes quite a bit of time for that to happen once these old debts are paid. Sometimes, they are not even removed from your credit report when paid because *VOILA!* the original creditor or the "owner" of the debt is the only one authorized to do this. A third-party collection agency cannot.
May I add that you didn't turn from a "debtor" to a "bill payer"; as they are the same thing. A debtor is (Courtesy of Miriam-Webster dictionary):
debt·or/ˈdetər/ Noun: A person or institution that owes a sum of money
Therefore, if you have a car payment, mortgage or rent, a cell phone, cable etc., you are still a DEBTOR.
And, lastly, I have good credit, a career (note I did not say job), a house and a white Mercedes, therefore, I guess my parents did teach me well.
Side note for ANONTROLL: My theory is that people who are/were debt collectors were angry and unloved as children and the only way they could vent this anger is to become a debt collector. Really, what other job on this Earth of ours allows you to demean, threaten, lie and curse out another person? If I did that in my line of work, I'd be disbarred. HA!

Some one from Greystone Alliance keeps calling my number looking for someone name Angela.  I don't who this is or what they want.  I have advised them of this but they keep caling. I want these calls to cease immediately!

I keep receiving a call from 716-218-4872. he says its for a bill back in 2006. everytime i ask where, he says in the state of georgia. he can't tell me where.  after i asked questions he hangs up.

yes , Add this number to your list too, same people and if they looking for someone they can not call their relatives and friends for any private and personal debts of other party. it's against the law to share your information with others and also harassing the third party to find you.

The way you stop the harassing calls is to let them believe they found you, get the address and send a letter telling them to cease calling.
Of course you need LEGAL way to prove you sent it.
This can be done by taking the letter to the post office and getting it where they have to sign to receive it.

before you give any information make sure this is not a scam. if it is your bill then pay it, but make sure its not a scam, lots of them out there so be careful

They got the contact information (old or new) from the company that you owe money to. If you'd pay your bill, you'd be okay. Don't forget, you can them information even though its no longer accurate. It's not like they pulled straws.

Keep getting calls from them but they won't identify who they are with caller I.D. When I called them (from an anonymous line) they would only give me the name Graystone, not who they are or what they do. They instead tried to pump me for information about who I was. I see it as a 2 way street or a dead end. Thank goodness for number I.D. and call blocking.
