Caller said he was Bryan Cook and he was looking for my sister who he said used me as a reference.  He said she was having serious problems with her checking account and she or her lawyer needed to call him.  I asked if he was a collection company working for the bank and he said he was with a different company, USDR, who she owed money to.  He said have her call him back at 716-240-0777.

I received the same call looking to make money from checking account and trying to attach my banking information to have myself of my attorney call 716-240-0777 not sure what that is all about but it makes me nervous about making that kind of call especially when I have been scammed before

I didn't get a phone call but I DID get an email stating the same thing about me or my attorney calling them as soon as possible.  Something to do with my checking account.

I just got that e-mail ... I don't trust anything that comes from an AOL account

2 phone calls in 2 days now from this # - a guy who says he is with USDR - US Debt Receivables and that they are going to take me to court because I owe someone money.  Totally a scam - he is trying to get personal/financial info

This is great,  so i get a call from this number so i return the call.  A Mr. Cook answers he shoots me the spill about why we owe.  I then ask for a lawyer bar id and he gets irate.  I then ask where he is located and he balks and then hangs up on me.  I call back he is now very angry and gives me the runaround about do what i want dont pay the bill.. We have had this so called bill paid off for years i love giving back what numbers like this give to us.  So more or less tell him he is an idiot and that it is easy to push people around with a little bit of personal knowledge about them.  When i told him i was not sending personal information to a person who coud not verify who he was he hung up again.  Definately a scam!
