This number is nothing more than Joseph Wells using a different number. The other number is 716-242-8356. Nothing more than a scam, like usual.

So who is Joseph Wells, and why do you suggest that he is the one calling?  Or do you have a personal vendetta against this person?

Maybe it's 'The Outlaw Joseph Wells' (Sounded a lot better before I wrote it. - 'The Outlaw Josey Wales')

He identified himself on the voicemail he left me.

Yeah I had to cancel my debit card because when I called my bank they informed me that he was a scammer

Joseph Wells is what he calls himself and he keeps calling threatening me that he's going to take me to court for bank fraud for a loan that I supposedly had put in my mother's account but in my name. I don't understand why this person keeps calling harassing me and my family and it really needs to stop.

I got a call Joseph wells saying I have a check and need to get a lawyer and he wants to talk to me before we go to court . I filed a police report and I was notified that this gentleman is a scammer

states he is an attorney and uses another ladys name as well as mine. I don't know how he got my number as it is unlisted. and how he linked me and this other person.  so Tubby needs to shop before I stop him.

Received a call from Joseph Wells.  When payday loan companies pursue someone for an unpaid loan, he is retained to assist the person with giving them a chance to settle out of court.  Joseph Wells is NOT a scam.

This dude Joseph and angela keep calling me about some bogus person that i do not know. And claiming this person put my name on a contract. Bogus

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of

payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a

payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport

to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms,

or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for

companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and

other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data

about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer

information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of

relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies,

but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other

loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of

employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and

become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal

actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many

cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
