My husband got a call from 7163121040 stating he took out a loan that he never did. They said he was being served papers if he didn't pay $2500.00. The loan doesn't exist and we aren't paying someone we don't know!!!

Got a call from them and they are also calling my sister in law saying that I owe money which I don't. They stated to my sister in law on her answering machine they are serve me papers to sign and that she was going to serve me at work or my house between 3 and 5 Wednesday. And it also states that I'm notified this is all that is on my sister in law machine. They also leave the same message on mine. By law they are not to say anything to a 3rd party only the person that they need to talk to, the only thing that they are to say to another person is there name, company they work for, and a call back number for you to reach they are not to say about the loan or anything, so just wanted to give a heads up on that. I know this information cause my best friend works at a debt collection for credit card loans and my brother used to work at one. Plus if they tell you that they are serving you papers they don't call and tell you about it first. And also what happen is you paid the loan off and that company sold the loan to someone else and now they are trying to collect on a bad loan. If they keep calling report them to the Federal Trade Commission cause I did that.

This is one of the annoying calls I refuse to answer.  These sharks continuously make attempts to contact me.  There has got to be governing rights in place that protect citizens.

Ignore 'em.  There's no arrest for civil debt in the US.  Total scam.

I was told this is not a collections office but an attorney's office trying to get a statement about the debt in question.  I called the attorney general's office in my state and was told this is probably a scam.  Checked to see if any legal action was taken in my county and found nothing.  Recommended I check the credit report to confirm that info.

I've been getting calls from this number for about 2 months.  State that I owe money and need to resolve within 24 hours or they will take legal measures.  So, every 2 days for the last 2 months they say I have 24 hours to respond?  Ok.  Right.  I even spoke to them a few months ago and they provided me no information on what this debt was.  Reported this to the FTC and unfortunately it looks like that is all we can do.

This number has called my cell phone and my mother's cell phone about 5 times this week.  My mother answered and they told her that they were looking for me and if SHE or I did not pay $2500 in 24 hours (from a debt that they will not tell me what it is from) they they will be serving papers and arresting me!  They are taking this too far and harassing my family members.  Just sad.

These are scam artists scum of the earth. Report them the FTC.  It's just a matter of time before these vermin are shut down.  You would think a guy that has a degree from Harvard would amount to something other than being a con man. Idiot.

These guys are idiots.  They have been calling for months saying they are going to file criminal and civil lawsuits against me.  They have never once said what it involves.  What they are doing is illegal.  Even if they are a legit collection company, they are not allowed to make threats of lawsuits.  They can file a lawsuit against you but they are not allowed to threaten you with a lawsuit if they are not going to follow up on it.  You can sue them for just that.  They have called pretending to be process servers and asking me to contact them to avoid being served.  Bring it on, idiots.  Process Servers don't call before they serve you with papers.  They just show up and hand them to you.

I made a complaint with my State's Attorney General.  They investigated and forwarded their file to the FTC.  They keep changing their numbers which is a clear indication that they are shady.  The registered owner has been arrested several times for fraud and burglary.  A couple of examples below:

I did a little research on the owner and found these articles on Buffalo News:

Found this in the Buffalo News Archive:
    on November 14, 2004 - 12:01 AM

Central District officers, responding to reports of a burglary-in-progress, spotted two suspects inside a home at 289 Highland Ave. on Friday night.

Police reports indicate the men had burglary tools and were stripping the house. They pried off antique leaded and stained-glass windows and doors.

Officers Edward M. Cotter and Timothy McDonald said they caught two men fleeing from the rear of the property.

Charged with burglary, felony criminal mischief and other counts were Matthew J. Marcucci, 30, of Dingens Street, and ***.

Police said they were alerted to the burglary by a neighbor who lives next door to the unoccupied home where the break-in occurred.

    AND ANOTHER ONE:

    MAN ADMITS CHEATING TELEMARKETING VICTIM
    on December 29, 1995 - 12:01 AM

A Buffalo man has admitted bilking a victim of telemarketers in a scam by posing as someone promising to recover her lost money.

Matthew Marcucci, 22, of 51 Dingens St., pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud before U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny. Sentencing is March 21.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph J. Karaszewski said Marcucci was a participant in a "recovery scam."

He admitted that he telephoned a victim in Pennsylvania who previously had been victimized by telemarketers. Marcucci falsely told the woman that her lost money had been recovered. He then convinced the victim that before she could receive her money, she was required to wire money via Western Union to pay for recovery expenses, which she did.

The case was investigated by the Federal Telemarketing Task Force, which is made up of agents of the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Internal Revenue Service and state police.

They are like cockroaches. A woman got a 10 million dollar judgement against one of these companies (their lawyer did not even appear) and she has yet to see a dime of that money. They just scurried away into the night, and reopened shop somewhere else. Very frustrating.

I just tried to look at their Facebook page, but it is not available at the moment. Wonder if they are scurrying into the dark like the cockroaches they are.
