this number is a scam, I have had several calls from this same person with the same "case number" but from different phone numbrs, tracing back to everywhere from Cambodia to New York. They have called my family, friends, people who would in no way be connected to any legitimate debts i may have, and I have no idea how they get the numbers or tie us together but they are persistant, rude and nasty. When you call back the number, it is either busy or you get a message saying the person is on the phone and to leave a voice mail. I have had these calls for more than two years now, same originator.

Call blocker might be your best bet.  Although I suspect these people are a group of white collar criminals who go around calling anyone they can and trying to scare money out of them.  This is that same group.  Nobody knows who they are or where they are located.  Simply ignore the calls and block them.  If they call you and you do talk to them tell them that you know it's a scam and they're not getting one dime out of you.  Tell 'em loudly and talk over them.  Brute force is all these people understand.   Tell 'em you'll file extortion complaint with local police.

Ronald Coleman.  British actor of the 1930s and 40s.  Interesting name for one of the scammers to assume.  Starred in "A Tale of Two Cities".

I just got a call that shows up as a local number to my area.  The person on the phone claims to be Ron Coleman calling from 716-312-4473.  He asked for my wife, but used her maiden name...which she hasn't used in 20 years.  He would not identify the "account" he was calling about.  He did sound "aggressive" and insisted on talking to my wife.  (Short version: NOT HAPPENING).  If my wife had this debt, he'd have her phone number, not mine.

oh boy am I glad I looked into this. I received the same gentleman's name for lack of a better term as everyone else he said his name was Ron Coleman. amazingly my file number matches everyone else's. I don't think so nice try fool! thank you for the heads up everyone!

He called my grandmother and said He was looking for me and gave her a case number as well and when I called him back It said the person was not availabl.
