My mom said someone came to her house asking for me a couple times but wouldnt say what they wanted so she said I was not there and that I lived in the above apartment. The next day I answered when the guy came and I was served paperwork! Now I have a court date for this crap, and I had gotten the voicemails but ignored them. Is there a way I can get out of this court date if the debt is mine just so I dont have to deal with it?

I came home today to some paperwork that was served to my husband from this firm. I have a court date in two weeks with my county? My husband said he can remember getting something from this company and throwing it out. Does anyone know what I can do? I did not mean to ignore anyone and now this?

I would call the court house and ask if they have your name listed as a court date. these guys are known scammers

I did, and they do. I just don't understand how can my husband hanging up on them and ignoring the calls because he thought they were sales count against me. How do I prove it was not intentional?
