you must either have been brought up rich or have never had hard times, either way you have no idea how hard it is to be in this world and on the side of people that struggle every day just to survive.  i am one of the people that has lost everything due to the economy taking a dump.  i lost my house and pretty much everything i had worked hard to get. it is not always as easy as "just pay the debt".

Sometimes Scam Debt collectors call you even though you may not be in debt, I am sure you have been sent a junk email saying that you need to put a wired check in you email..Most of the time its a scam.

This man using the name Joe Lane or Joseph Lane has violated many FDCPA laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

-Contacting family members repeatedly, revealing personal information to them, telling them I will be arrested for fraud, and also not honoring their requests for him not to call again
-Verbal harrassment (personal insults, threats)
-Refusing to provide company name/address
-Not honoring a request for written correspondence
-Not honoring a 'do not disturb' at work request
-Refusing to validate the 'debt' he was/is trying to collect

First of all, when asked for his company name and address, Joe Lane refused to give them to me and said unless I give him my credit card or bank account information over the phone he would not fax or mail me correspondence regarding the debt in question or give his company name or address. He's been calling my place of employment 3-4 times per day, and when I asked Joe Lane to be contacted in writing Joe Lane said no, he will continue calling my work. Joe Lane then hung up on me, and then called back within 10 minutes later to make it clear he was not honoring my verbal request for written correspondence.

I told him that I've never owned a credit card and I would like to see what documents on he has regarding the debt. Joe Lane then began threatening to call my family, my job, recited my social security number, told me that my parents raised a coward and told me that I wasn't a man unless I agreed to pay this mystery debt.

I hung up on Joe Lane and apologized to my employer. I spoke with my father and it appears Joe Lane called him and told him I had committed fraud, and would go to jail unless he gave Joe Lane his credit card over the phone. Luckily he had not done so. I had to calm him down and explain what this con artist/collections agent is trying to do.

I have filed complaints with the attorney general (NAAG.org), the FTC (ftccomplaintassistant.gov), and the CFPB (consumerfinance.gov), and also the local police department in Tonawanda, NY (716) 692-2121. I suggest if he is harassing you or anyone you care about, you should report him as well.

LOL called looking for ching chang chooo yea not me. They then said well do you know where they are? Are you kidding me.....

Some guy named Robert Hammer called from this number saying that he was from American Coradius International, he just called and threatened me that if I do not take the 15% Settlement by the end of the month of December on my Citi-Bank Mortgage, regarding my $419,000.00 mortgage debt that is outstanding, that me and my family will be out on the street by New Years Eve. He also said a comment about how it is cold in Pennsylvania. He hopes we find a new place by then. Said the Sherriff will be at my home by 8am on the 31st. Can they do this? I called Citi-Bank and they told me they can no longer help me and that this matter is being handled by ACI. Man called from 716-418-7200, 716-418-7205 and 716-418-7211.

just received a call from these people about my mortgage with citi bank I told the lady  i did not have a mortgage and she gave me a dob that was not mine. she apologized and said she had the wrong person and would remove my number from their system. we will have to wait and see if this really happens.

I don't have a debt yet they continue to call me. My account is current.

Hopefully you taped the call? If you did you have a case against them that might put them out of business.

Get yourself to an attorney. The bank should have notified you if you were in arrears. An attorney can advise you about this and most will see you once without charging you.

Just because I'm related to someone or happen to have name like someone does not mean a debt collector has the right to bother me. The problem is that they use the internet and the info contained on it to try and find relationships between people. I think the companies that post personal info on the internet should be prosecuted. Several times women have been murdered because the spouse they had a restraining order on was able to locate them through one of these companies. I think the companies are accessories to murder in these cases.

Just some debt collector looking for a Hand Out... On an already Written Off Debt... NEVER PAY A debt that has already been written off or gone to collections.. The Damage is done... Paying is a Waste of Money at this point... Fuk Em... From 20+ years of experience.... Forget the PAST.. Move Forward...

Glad to know who this is... I too don't answer numbers that I don't recognize. They've called my cell several times but NEVER have left a message?! ...how do I know who you are or what you want if you don't leave a message?! If you have legitimate business with me then leave a message. As far as I know, all my accounts are current... I may have to suck it up and answer just to find out what they want... maybe they are looking for someone else... hopefully, lol
