the caller id says "DIR ASST      NY"

No one said anything the one time out of 10 calls I picked up.  any clues?

CALLED, NO ONE THERE. CALLED AGAIN 2 HRS LATTER NO ONE THERE. Lets give a big hand of applause to VERIZON PHONE COMPANY for letting yahoo's like this to even get a phone number.
What they won't do to make a buck at all our expense. Hey VERIZON PLEASE YANK THIS NUMBER ASAP, LIKE YESTERDAY.

It's not a real phone number verizon gave to anybody, it's a spoofed caller id.

Everyday at approximately 2:15pm/eastern. Says Brooklyn, NY. I don't pick up..no messages left. Try calling back, says cannot be completed as dialed!!! Don't know what they are selling or trying to..but they aren't selling anything here.
