same here, this company calls me may times a day and even late at night

Simply outrageous phone call from this phone number today. Said he was from "United Services" and said that I owe over $8,000 in debt and went into some story about lowering my debt which I would not even hear. I asked him a) how he got my name and my number b) how he thought it was all right to call me like this and where he is getting his information from.  He said from my _bank_ (who I have since contacted via letter to complain about this, if it is in fact true). He said that if I do not wish to be called I should unplug my phone. When I told him he should keep out of my personal affairs and take me off this call list he told me he would put me on the "call 200 times" list. I told him he should get a better job. His name is "David" and he said he works for United Services or United Financial Services. They actually exist and I have written them a complaint letter.

Need to file a complaint with the FCC

This is a Verizon number so I call Verizon to complain, they cannot do much except block the number from calling me. Verizon did suggest filing a complaint with the FCC. Their website is down for the weekend for Maintenance, will try Monday. If they get enough complaints they might shut them down.

This caller started with "I understand that you owe $10,000.00 on your credit card"!  I said who are you? After he hung up the phone I called the number and it came from a verison wirless phone number!

Called my house saying he was from "consumer services".  When I asked what exactly that was, he stammerd, couldn't answer, and responded "[***] on you".
