they keep calling my place of employment harassing me at work saying I'll be arrested at my job if I don't pay back a loan.

You cannot be arrested for a debt which is a civil matter not a criminal matter.
File complaints with your state AG and the NY State AG and the cfpb..

A black woman with a lot of attitude called and left an harassing message about our daughter putting us down as a referral and we needed to contact her IMMEDIATELY to let her know where our daughter could be contacted. Who the hell are these people and what makes them believe they have a right to "order" people to contact them, just because someone put us down as a reference. I kept her voicemail message on my phone and will be contacting our attorney, these collection agents think they have some legal power/right to make harassing and threatening phone calls and they DO NOT. Especially to someone not even associated with the account and unaware we were even used as a reference.

called from 716-601-6231 saying her name was Stacy Johnson and that I had 48 hours to contact them or they were going to file charges with my county.  She did not say what company and I am not planning on calling her back as they have to send paperwork in the mail before anything can be done.

I got the call recorder and it was from Stacy Johnson and the Settlement Director Scott Holloway both obviously not professional and treating. Foolishly they can't do anything or collect anything. So I advise anyone to ignore or laugh at them for being so wicked and misleading. This company thinks that only they have collected debt and only they know the rules and regulations on how to collect on a debt as a Thrid Party.I called back and she leaves the company name on her answering machine.  #Left Swipe

Called my cell phone back to back, left a voicemail with no identifying company name or company they were collecting for.  Said her name was Stacy Johnson and I needed to have my attorney contact her immediately.  She hung up and immediately called my place of employment.  Was told I could not have personal calls and she then asked the procedure for having papers served at my place of employment.  Was told to contact the employee.

Stacey Johnson and Donald threaten on voicemail that they have legal documents that will "be filed" if you do not give them your personal information including your social security number. Do not help these people steal your identity.  Do not give any information to confirm or deny they have reached who they are looking for. Tell them to mail the "legal documents" they have to the address they purchased. Do not verify ANY personal or contact information with anyone at this number. Tell them you have no business with them. Always pay the person or company you owe money to if you are making payments. Do not pay a collector.

Do not pay these people. If you owe someone a debt - pay the company you owe only.  Tell the collectors to never call your number again from any number or autodialer.

I received a call from 716-601-6231 and stated her name was Stacy and was speaking real fast for investigation on a debt collector and I advised her that by law she has to send a notice by mail and she just said not to talk to her about law.

My brother, who lives in Des Moines, IA, yesterday received a call from a Thomas Evchek (?sp) yesterday and a message was left on his VM with the callback number 716-601-6231.   He stated that I (or my attorney) should call immediately about a complaint against my tax ID number in my home county.  I have called the number back several times and have gone to VM  which states he works with Oracle Financial Group and to leave a message and call back number which I have not done.  I was suspicious about this so Google searched the number and came to this site.  As I suspected, this is a SCAM and I will not be pursuing it any further.

Received a call today from the same guy saying the same thing. Oddly enough, he left a message for someone else -- not someone who lives here -- so I called him back to let him know that he had the wrong number. He answered the phone and asked if the number I was calling from was the number he had called. I did the same as you. I'm blocking the number.

Yup her name is S.Cromer i just hung up with her rude [***] and they got me on 9/11 for $269 bc when they called I immediately got scared (no lie) but then they called me again today and I said something is fishy with this company and when I looked up the 716-601-6231 number and seen these reviews I called them and they man answered the phone "Can I help you" and I said no you called me can I help you? Long story short I just had my bank cancel my debit card so they won't be able to make another transaction and I reported them

So this company got me, I must admit. They got me for $269!! The first time they called me Ms. Cromer were so [***] hostile you would have thought I stole money from her. I had to check her and tell her to calm down and explain why she was calling me. She said it was due to a pay loan. So she gave me AAAAALLL my information down to my ssn. Shucks if she knew what I had on that day she would have told me that too. So anyway after being scared with them telling me they can use my car as collateral and I need to get a lawyer, if I filed bankruptcy I will need to talk to the judge I met with. I mean the list goes on and on. So they got me and I paid $269. Today I get another call from them but I didn't answer I let the HIYA app identify the call and it said "SPAM" So when I called back it was a different rep. He answered "can I help you" I said no you called my phone, can I help you" First of all who are you and where are you calling from. He was so hesistant I new something wasn't right. So I said "Oracle Financial" he said yes do you know such and such and is your name ***** I said yeah thats me and then he asked was my last four digits **** I said let me call you back. After reviewing these reviews I called the initial number that called me weeks ago and that same angry lady answered like we were homegirls "Hello". No "Hi, thanks for calling so and so how can I help you" I replied Oracle Financial and she said yes...then I heard dude in the background is that Ms. So and So she said she seen the reviews online. I hung up called my bank they cancelled my debit card now these fuckas are going to be mad when they try to take another payment from me.

I do not like being called  by my first name when I answer the phone, especially if I don't know you. It is annoying and disrespectful.
