Received a call from this number
saying,
"You from the tax crime investigation unit of IRS. Now the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS has decided to take legal steps against you regarding some decks for-sides(?) will be in your best interest to call me back as soon as you get this message. In order to discuss these critical situation. My direct hotline number it's a 7162427165. I repeat it's 7162427165. The situation at hand is extremely time sensitive as this is a legal matter and if I don't hear from you. Have the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye."

I got a call from the same 716-777-3842 number, no VM left. I called it back and was told the same exact talk track around a law suite being filed against me by the IRS. I told the person they are a scammer and I was reporting them and hung up

Ditto... just recently. Obvious scam which has been done before. The name used was 'Jason Clark' and he gave a phony badge number. If you search this name you will find dozens of people complaining about this scam going back at least a year. Should be reported to the police ASAP as this is a SCAM. Not a debt collector... just a complete and utter scam. I am 100% sure I am current with the IRS and further, he doesn't even use your name just says "you".  They probably call thousands of people and only need one person to wire them the money to make it worthwhile. Scum of the earth.

Someone called me from this number and said they are from internal revenue services and I'm being charged with bunch of bs charges

Three calls in the space of an hour. I did not answer, but checked the number and found the comments from others.

Received a call from this number but I did not answer and when I called the number back, I got a Verizon wireless message stating the number that I had call had been changed, disconnected or no longer in service.

A threaten message left by Jason Clark, badge #16108. Stated that a tax crime involves "you", if don't call back, "wish you good luck". I will call IRS to report this event.

I  got 4 calls from this phone no. (716-777-3842) this morning in a 3 hour time frame !! no message was left , so I never called back !  I figured it was some sort of scam ! Real tierd of these jerks !!

Person who sounds like they are from Pakistan said they were from the criminal tax dept and I just hung up on them
