They told me they were a loan company and I sent them 120.00 and know I haven recieved any money. What can I do about this?

report it to www.ic3.gov they will investigate it they did is to me too but didnt get any money from me usa persoanl loans is a scam james Lee is a fake name and the fbi said that they are using nubers based out of buffalo NY but could be in another country so they wont get caught

Same thing happened to me. Said I was to receive 2000. All I had to do is send 177 for verification and they would send the money. Well dumb me, I did. Then they said the IRS needed 149 for taxes. Well I never sent that cause I never received the 2000 cause the IRS blocked it for taxes. What the heck! Gonna call my bank and report fraud, maybe I can get my money back. Doubtful tho. James Lee also called me. I asked a bunch of questions first and got really neat answers so I thought maybe. Live and learn.

Demanding fees of any kind for any reason (poor credit history, tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc.) in advance of actually receiving the loan is *ILLEGAL* as described in this FTC's warning http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel16.shtm which states: "It is illegal for companies doing business in the U.S. by phone to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver." A fee is legal if you pay it *AFTER* you get the loan. If you agree to a $125 fee for a $1,500 loan (not that I agree with or recommend it), what should happen is the lender should take $125 out of the $1,500 and send you $1,375 but you should *NEVER* have to pay the $125 up front before you get the loan. No, ic3 will *NOT* find them. ic3 does not investigate any one complaint. Complaints to the ic3 website are shared by many law enforcement agencies to get a broad picture of what sort of crimes are occurring and how crimes evolve over time but they do not investigate any one complaint.

They called me saying I was approved for $5,000 and I said no thank you to the heavy accent indian man and he got rude to me and said Then why did you apply for a loan in the first place!!! I told him to mind his business and hung up. Then a few minutes later he calls back saying, Are you feeling sexy tonight? I hung up. How disgusting!!!

Nobody asks for money for a loan...try do not call list or direct to the FCC
