Guy called today, he asked me if it was a business number. I said: "No." Which must have p##sed him off, because It IS a business number. :)

ANYONE that calls me cold, to sell me something that I didn't ask for... will never get my business even if I need it.

You want my money: DON'T ANNOY ME. Once I'm annoyed... the relationship is over before it began.

It is the newly re-branded Talking Phone Book. The call is from their center in Buffalo to verify you got your new directory. Answering the call helps the person who delivered the book correctly get paid.

MK-  get another job... if you can't understand that you are being annoying, maybe you should be at the receiving end of your nonsense! To paraphrase you...
"You are an annoying tele-marketer! Not a business consultant!"

Just goes to show, if you're a business, you're not very savvy! Why should we call you to tell you that we are NOT a business!  A little bass-actwards, don't you think!!!

What about an established business relationship?

A telemarketer or seller may call a consumer with whom it has an established business relationship for up to 18 months after the consumer's last purchase, delivery, or payment - even if the consumer's number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. In addition, a company may call a consumer for up to three months after the consumer makes an inquiry or submits an application to the company. And if a consumer has given a company written permission, the company may call even if the consumer's number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.

One caveat: if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship. Indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list.

Got the phone call early this afternoon and they asked for my mom. She's been at work and I tried to take a message and they just hung up on me. It was really rude.

Called to ask if I had received the local "Area-Wide" phone book. I said yes. They are just checking to see if the delivery people has actually delivered it. They won't pay them unless they did. You people getting your knickers in wad - chill out and have a drink.

They are checking to see if the independent contractors they hire to deliver the phone books actually delivered them (or tossed them into a dumpster). The delivery people won't get paid if they didn't deliver the phone books.

The only thing we want less than your phone books is your damn phone call.

STOP CALLING US. It's not our job to make sure you clowns get paid.

I've received 3 calls from the phone # 716-875-9100.  The 2 times I answered the caller immediately hung up.  The 1 time I didn't answer no message was left.    I am going to block this number so it can't annoy me in the future!

Call two to four times/day ... no message.  I am on "do not call lists"

My daughter tells me people like this call and won't talk, hoping you will call their number to find out who called.  If you do, then they can call you back with more nuisance calls without getting into trouble with the "do not call" regulations.  Your only protection is NEVER to call back an unknown number that left no message!

Just called here, at 7:30 AM....they hung up when I answered to ask why they call this early...It's still only 8:30 in buffalo....

Just had call from this number on caller ID.  This type of unsolicited calls happen all the time.  How can the calls be stopped?  Being on the "don't call list" doesn't stop them. Feel mad and helpless.
