for those of you looking to file a complaint agaist  the torres credit service this is their main number 717-243-8424 i recieved a very rude and insulting call from them the lady would not give me her name so that i could file a complaint about her very upseting call made me feel horrible :(

I got a letter from Torres Credit Services stating I owe them money.  I just had a settlement with another BBB accredited agency, with that my debt was paid.  Torres Credit is not even accredited with the BBB and they were unhelpful while I asked them to explain my bill.  While I had already contacted my agency that I had paid in full with, this agency told me not to pay, since the agreement was made, there are no other debts in my name.

I talked to a lady and she claimed to be the supervisor for who I asked. She was rude to me. All I wanted was a fax number to fax some information to that company in response to a letter they sent me about an account I do not nor did not have with a company.

Torres Credit Services is a SCAMMMMM!!!!!  I got a call from them about an outstanding bill that I was looking to pay off to clear my credit report. They tole me if I paid a curtain amount that I would not owe the remaining balance. So I paid that that balance we agreed apond. Two months later I got another bill from them double the amount of the last balance that I owed. They did even show the amonut I just paid. They had a nerve to add an additional amount to the bill that they decided to charge me and had the nerve to TRY and justify it. They are now charging me more money and they have my credit report hostage. So now I'm taking them to court. DON'T GET SCAMMMMMMED BY THESE GREEDY [***]!!!!!

I just notice this place on my credit report as a new account. I never even heard of them.

How would they get enough info to get credit company to list as a new account is my question.

I called and they said I owed BMG which was like Columbia House $28.00 and this was from 5 years ago at an address I moved out of way after.

These people are the bottom feeders of collection.  They are on my credit report as an inquiry and looking to get $31.00 out of me on some fake bill I never had. They keep violating FDCPA !!! They can bite my ass!

I recently pulled a copy of my credit report, and I noticed that my score dropped 70 points from 711 to 644. I then noticed that I had a negative item on my credit report from Torres Credit Services for $33.00. I called them and they told me that the only way that the debt will be settled is by paying it. Not realizing that I have personally cleaned up my own credit, I told them that I am not paying them. I wanted proof of this debt, and they told me that they have a letter from the original creditor stating that I owe this debt. I requested a copy of the letter from them, and they told me that they can't give me any information. They have lost their minds!!! I will not pay this bill. THEY ARE A SCAM PEOPLE!!!
NO PROOF= NO PAYMENT!!! We must fight back and stop letting these sharks in suits take our hard earned money. I was about to begin the process of purchasing a home, and now  I can't even purchase my home right now (with a good interest rate) because of this crap!!!

I pulled a credit report and this company was on it. I tried calling the number and it "was no longer in service" Who are they and I don't owe a bill of  $55 dollars. I have not gotten a phone call yet, so this must be a SCAM.

this TORRES CREDIT SERVICES is charging me a $31 that make my credit score go down...i just then found out from my quarterly credit summary and they filed 9 times for 31 i did not even know where they got from..this is a b....t!!this company must close..

I really think this company is a scam.  They reported me to the credit bureau for 33.00 and posted it about 11 times.  What can be done about this company

What can be done about these scammers. As soon as I paid everything off of my credit report, all of a sudden I get the $32.00 charge from Torres Credit. I never heard of them, never ordered anything from BMG (I see this is what most people are saying), and can't get in touch with anyone at Torres. This freaking $32 caused my score to go down 68 points!!!!!!

Wow, can't believe all the folks reporting the same experience I'm having as well.  I got the same thing and apparently also from a CD (Music) company from 2005!!  In my case it just showed up couple months ago on my credit report - I have been living at the same address since before 2005 and no one has been trying to collect anything from me until this showed up.  Sounds to me like the music companies just made a sweet deal on selling their old collections accounts that they had given up on.

I had a number for Torres Credit Services on my credit report and was able to call and speak to someone.  They weren't rude, but the assumption throughout the call was that I owed the money and the only way to make this go away was to pay them.

Also, I was given a different address than the one on my credit report to correspond and/or pay them which I find very interesting.  I will be calling the postal service to validate that address before I do anything.

Just a word or two of advice, when you pay a collection agency get a letter showing that it is paid. Some agencys are debt buyers and other work with the company that you owe the money too. The 3rd party collection agency do not always report a payment like they are to do, so that probally why you got a letter from this Torres Credit Place. You might just want to check with the origanal company that you owed just to make sure that this account is in fact cleared and that there are no other debits in your name

you might wanna check with the people you were living with every think the could open this in your name?????
