Called ID said 717-339-0000. But look people - that call could literally have come from anywhere in the world over VOIP. There are web services out there where one can make calls through and the caller can literally make the recipient's caller ID show anything the caller wants. These credit card scammers appear to be doing just that. If that's the case Googling the number won't show valid information.

They called me with an automated message stating to 'hold the line as a your credit card specialist has lowered my credit card rate' for me and to press 9 to speak with the representative. I pressed 9 and asked them how they got my number-- they said I called them. Horsepucky. I laughed and told them to never call again or I'll file a complaint. Funny-- I use two credit cards and either of them know not to call me... its a scam-- report them if they call you. The caller ID read "Out of Area".

    We'll see what happens....

I just got a call that showed up as "unknown name" & phone #717-339-0000.  I was suspicious because it was 9:40pm.  It was a recording of a woman about "my credit card account" but reassuring me that there was no problem.  I was instructed to press 9 to hear more about how to save on my interest rates.  A man said he was from Card Services out of Orlando FL.  He dropped a few names like Bank of America, Visa, Mastercard, etc. and said looking at my profile he can tell I am a good customer.  He proceeded to tell me that I qualify for better rates.  He pressed on for a credit card number.  I tried to tell him that I don't qualify, he said I do qualify.  I told him I know that he cannot see any profile of mine because I haven't paid my credit cards in 3 months because I have filed bankruptcy.  He paused and asked, you filed bankruptcy??  I said yes sir I have.  He immediately hung up!

No message was left, so must not have been real important. I too live in Michigan.

I too received a call from this number tonight (after 9pm).  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up.  Looked it up out of curiosity online and the name Robert Kelley brought me straight to this site.  Glad I checked.  Won't answer any calls I get from them!  I Love caller ID.

Received a call from this number on my cell in Michigan.
Could not hear anyone on the line...  After 30 seconds
the call disconnected.  Have reported this to AT&T Fraud
Department and they are handling.  Having records subpoenaed
for investigation purposes through their legal department.

They are still using this number to call with the scam. I don't answer calls from numbers unless I know them.

Wow, getting this call so late (after 9:30 p.m.) shows how desperate they are to hook a fish. Well, it's my own fault. I've been letting the machine pick up all these calls -- I can always recognize them -- until yesterday, when one came in from a number close enough to one I actually know that I picked it up. Only to hear, too late, "This is Heather calling about your credit card bill."

I knew that these calls, which had trickled to about 1 a month, would start up again and I was right. Guess I'm in for another month of not picking up the phone. :(

I'm in Rhode Island and just a call from 717-339-0000 saying Robert Kelly on the ID
No message was left as I did not answer the call.
Here's some info to look into. Go to www.bluffmycall.com  and see how anybody can have anybody's name and number come up on your caller ID.
That's why it's so important to give no one any info as good as the offer may sound. If it's too good to be true it's not true.

I too just received a call this afternoon with that same number, and still shows up as Gettysburg.  It's sad that someone can't put an end to this.  I feel terrible for the original couple, and fear that it could happen to almost anyone without them even knowing.
