Really with a 555 in the exchange - All count's this has got to be bogus and spoofed.
I only found one reference to a real person and I'm sure they don't have this number anymore.
Found quite a bit of stuff for Jane and John Doe tech enthusiasts. So you know it has to be spoofed.
Interestingly enough just less than half a minute after got a call from a charity, listed as unavailable.

No message, after hearing my answering machine.

Call came in - 555 exchange looked sketch as all get out,  Didn't answer and no message was left on voice mail.  The bad guys have been busy since the start of September.  We've been getting 4 or 5 scam calls a day.  Maybe it's time to give up the landline.

Call have gone wild since August. Never saw it this bad. WAKE UP GOVT! May be time to ditch the land line. Never leave a message.

Pretty sure it's a cell phone.  Cid says Pennsylvania.  Scammers use their own cell phones which doesn't tie them to any company.  Remember when you dialed out of area calls used to be charged on your landline unless you had an 800 number?  So now we get calls from all across the country since that has been abolished.  So much for technology advancement yet there's little the public can do to permanently stop these annoying interruptions.  Now it's constant Medicare calls.  Wonder where they get their lists.  I bet many come from all those "opt out" notices you get with your insurance, phone, bank statements, gas bills, etc. that tell you that you can't opt out of most of the shared information!
