Caller ID said VOL FIREFIGHTERS! Area code is from Colorado. Why would  volunteer firefighters from Colorado be calling Indiana? Do these spammer idiots think I'm that stupid? Do NOT answer!!!!

This is just a damn shame!!!  What kind of LOW LIFE scum would pretend to be a fire fighters association just to scam people out of money???  Shame on these jerks!  Block the number!

Caller ID displayed VOL FIREFIGHTERS.  I did not answer and caller did not leave a voicemail.  Just a waste of time and 0s and 1s.

calls and hangs up - caller id shows "invalid number" - colorado calling but don't know the reason for call

CID same as above, firefighters.  These scammers always come out of the woods when there is a disaster.  hang up w/ no message.  Is it coincidence that the last 4 digits have been used on a number of other spam calls?

Actually… no.  As a hobby… I track all calls… and I wouldn’t say it happens often… but it DOES happen.

Showed up as Campo Co.  They hung up.  These groups show up every fall looking for donations.
Just hit delete.

hard part about some of these scammers, is that using VoIP, they can set the CallerID Name and CallerID Number to anything, so we cannot even be certain what state (or what country, continent) they are calling from (and whether they are calling from a datacenter for scammers, or sipping drinks on a beach front with their toes in the Ocean). So most of the time reporting a number doesn't go anywhere (that is why some robocalls call your house, and hope for someone to just pickup, or have the answering machine/service pickup so they know which numbers to not use, and which numbers are dead so they can use those in the next scam).

9/5/18:  phone #719 215 2157 Call from CAMPO CO and I live in California.  Says he is from Volunteer Firefighters, so I said, "not interested" and hung up.  Called the number back immediately from another phone and it said "number disconnected".  Scammers

Mother answered, but she says she didn’t get there in time.  Thanks to everyone here, it’s blocked.

Another scam charity. Left no message. CID was "Volunteer Fire. Colorado area code. Blocked the entire area code. I don't know anyone in Colorado.
