Called, I picked up and heard nothing but static

Caller ID says Astoria, OR.  Don't usually answer distant area codes, but was expecting out-of-state call.  Caller didn't know that I had answered.  Heard caller say to someone else in boiler room "...you know that I'm a thigh guy, and she has such awesome legs."  Hung up & blocked number.  Thank you iPhone.

same thing happened to me - not sure if it is someone trying to access my email or banking info - kind of scary - I hung up and blocked the caller.

This was rather scary - when I answered there seemed to be just dead air space.  I hung up and blocked caller.  I hope it was not some kind of scammer trying to access my email, facebook, Zillow, banking  or other media on my phone.

Hope that this number is tracked and identified.  Hoping it is not some sort of scammer trying to access email, Zillow account, realtor account, etc.  When I answered the tele there was only dead air space - too scary for me. I receive a lot of out of state calls on my cell phone due to my real estate business.
